One Year Ago, John Rhadigan Gave His "I Had A Dream" Speech ...

... and it was quite possibly the most awkward moment in the 40-something-year history of Texas Rangers telecasts, as Rhadigan, who had recently been fired from the play-by-play job, decided that it would be a good idea to acknowledge what had happened:

IIRC, BaD Radio queried Tom Grieve on this a day or two after it went down, and Grieve said that he and Barnett were distracted by somebody talking in their ears over the headset at the time, and didn't actually hear what Rhadigan said, or some such. He also seemed to bristle at the notion that either of them laid out on Rhadigan, so, there's that.

But, regardless of the circumstances that might have led to the Barnett/TAG layout, what a marverously, historically awkward moment.
