Dave Barnett Out For The Weekend
Concerning, albeit not totally unexpected, news from Jeff Wilson:
Dave Barnett won't return this weekend as he continues to undergo tests related to migraine headaches. #rangers

Barnett metaphorically went off the rails during the eighth inning of Monday night's game in San Diego, and missed the last two games of the Rangers' series in San Diego as he underwent an exhaustive medical evaluation to determine whether migraines were truly the root cause of his on-air speech problems. As before, I'm hoping that the tests don't reveal anything of a serious nature, and that Barnett regains his health and is able to return to the broadcast booth in short order.
In the meantime, I expect we'll continue to see Steve Busby and Tom Grieve on the television side, and Eric Nadel and Bryan Dolgin on the radio side. This is tough for me to work through, because, in all honesty, I have found the Busby/Grieve telecasts to be pretty enjoyable, but I still want Barnett to be okay and be able to return to the broadcast booth without issue.
