Josh Hamilton Is Out Of The Hospital; Tateyama Optioned

Josh Hamilton is out of hospital and at home. Will work out Sunday and travel to San Diego with Rangers.

If he can make it back by Monday/Tuesday, the Rangers will probably go ahead and option Leonys Martin back down. If he's not ready to go by then, you probably need to look hard at DLing him, especially with the whole "six-man bullpen and no long reliever" thing out there troubling you.

The Rangers have optioned Yoshi Tateyama to Round Rock.

This isn't surprising in the least, as he was the weakest link on the 25-man roster going into today ... assuming Hamilton is back in the next few days and the Rangers option Martin again, they'll be tapping into someone other than Tateyama on the relief front.
