The End Of The Game Chats?

CoverItLive switched to a paid model today, and from what I can tell, it would take between $100-150 per month to keep the lights on. That's $400-600 over the final four months of the regular season, and doesn't even include the post-season. That means one of three things:

(1) Chat regulars pony up the cash to keep them going, and/or I help foot a small portion of the bill;

(2) I find different chat software somewhere that's an acceptable substitute and free (kiss the drops/images goodbye);

(3) The game chats end indefinitely, or go to the comments section (live commenting is supposed to be restored in the near future, but ...)

So, yeah. I don't know what to do about that. This kind of sucks. It's good that they didn't jack the prices to an unreasonable degree for small-time bloggers who get a couple of hundred readers per game or anything. I'm open to suggestions, but, yeah.
