And The Beat Goes On: May 28th
Also known as the most half-assed ATBGO post of all time:
● Calvin Watkins writes about the Rangers hitting the million attendance mark before Memorial Day, and updates us on the Darvish/Ogando injuries.
● There's this headline sitting in my newsreader:
Sherrington: Yu Darvish's iffy outing offers yet another argument for Roy Oswalt
Absolutely. Because Roy Oswalt would NEVER in his life struggle through a five-inning win with back problems.
● Drew Davison talks about Robbie Ross's latest rookie gaffe:
The Texas Rangers reliever had another rookie moment, failing to report on time for pregame stretching on Saturday afternoon. The result? He left Rangers Ballpark with one-legged jeans.
After the Rangers-Blue Jays 13-inning game on Saturday, Ross returned to his locker to find one of his pant legs had been cut off. The practical joke served as a reminder for Ross to be punctual.
"I was late to be on the field, and I was like, 'Oh, crap,'" Ross said. "It ended up happening. Being late is a no-no, but I'll get through it."
● Mike Napoli wants to return to the Rangers next year. I'll have to cook up a Napoli/Montero post here pretty shortly.
