Mike Olt Destroyed A Window Yesterday
I have rather fond memories of sinking entirely too many hours into Triple Play 2001, which, as far as I can recall, was known as a game with a pretty lousy simulation engine and an unimpressive gameplay engine, albeit with one extremely important redeeming quality: it was fun. And one of the signature features of that game was the Home Run Derby mode, where you could swing for targets in an array of different settings ranging from a medieval castle to the moon to a large-scale living room, with the last allowing for the opportunity to smash tiny baseballs off living room windows or picture frames.
That, I'm not sorry to say, is the first thing I thought of when I saw this last night (h/t shroomer):
The video cuts away from the impact point, unfortunately, but I did track down a high-resolution picture that shows exactly where the ball hit (the glass panes above the "Bam-Bam" sign to the left of the main scoreboard at Whataburger Field), so there's that.
