I've toyed with the idea of doing something like this for a long time (Adam was, as far as I know, the first Rangers blogger to utilize these, so credit to him for the inspiration), but I lack the patience to manually input commenter-submitted projections, so I'm trying something that FanGraphs has been utilizing for a while now, and we'll see if this works out or if anybody actually cares.
In the form below, provide your guesses as far as Elvis Andrus's plate appearances (not at-bats) and AVG/OBP/SLG during the 2012 regular season. Please don't enter any other numbers, and please enter your AVG/OBP/SLG guesses without the decimal (meaning that if you wanted to enter a .280 batting average, you'd input "280" and nothing more. Feel free to disclose a username if you're so inclined (though that is not required), and/or discuss your projection below.
Please do not vote more than once. Please do not input nonsense; I'll delete such entries after the fact.
What makes this kind of nifty is that you can view the incoming projections in near-real time in this spreadsheet, along with the average PA/AVG/OBP/SLG up to a given point.
[Editor's note: The poll is now closed, and the Google polling widget has been removed.]
We'll see how this goes. After today, I may front-page these in the afternoon and then move them back over to the Clubhouse after they've had some front-page exposure.
