Per, uh, everyone, as this move was announced more than an hour ago. Taylor Teagarden had started just two games behind the plate since being recalled on July 28th, so away he goes, destined to return in 10 days after rosters expand.
Of more significance is that Adrian Beltre, per Jeff Wilson, could be cleared for a rehab assignment as early as Saturday, although Bryan Dolgin says that he'll also require the blessing of Ron Washington. I doubt that the Rangers will alter their plans with regard to Beltre's rehab (e.g. trying to move him along faster than what they feel comfortable with) even if the Angels close the gap to 1-2 games, but this is probably the Rangers' single most significant sideplot right now.
