Thursday Morning Open Thread: Three Questions

We're having fun here, no?1. This has no doubt already been asked and answered in just about every conceivable way, but let's try it one more time: What is the absolute highest in terms of guaranteed dollars that you would be willing to go in order to sign Roy Oswalt on a one-year deal?

2. The Hardball Times has an interesting piece dangling out there right now concerning Yu Darvish's projections for the upcoming season, with their own in-house projection system essentially forecasting Darvish as though he'll perform like a legitimate ace right out of the gates (185 IP, 2.57 ERA, 6.2 WAR).

That's worth a few raised eyebrows on its own, but the grand projection game has me thinking about something else: What kind of numbers do you believe Darvish will need to produce this coming season in order for you to consider him a "success" (by your own definition, mind you) and how poor would his numbers have to be in order for you to consider him a "disappointment?"

Feel free to follow the rough IP/ERA/WAR template, or throw in any other numbers that you feel will better convey your answer. If you use wins and losses as your sole criteria, a single tear will suddenly roll down the cheek of Jon Daniels and he won't know why.

3. A question that I'm curious about, especially now that Ron Washington's job security is at an all-time high: Out of Washington, Daniels, and Nolan Ryan, who do you believe will be the first to step down/be oustered from their current organizational role for one reason or another, and who do you believe will be the last man standing at some indeterminate point down the road?
