The Rangers Are 93-69, And Have Lost The AL West Title

The Rangers held sole possession of first place in the AL West from the end of Game No. 4 until the end of Game No. 161. On June 30th, the Rangers led the Athletics by 13 games.

In Game No. 162, they lost the AL West title to the newly crowned division-champion Oakland Athletics.

They'll play Friday to try and keep their season alive via one-game playoff.

Update: The Orioles have lost to the Rays tonight, and as a result, the Rangers will host the Orioles during Friday night's wild-card playoff game in Arlington. The telecast is set for 7:37 p.m. CDT on TBS, and will feature Yu Darvish against Joe Saunders.
