Memorial Day Open Thread: Five Questions

1. Neftali Feliz insists that his continued mound issues have nothing to do with his health and everything to do with out-of-whack mechanics -- with the underlying flaws supposedly being identified by Feliz already -- and overreliance upon the fastball, giving rise to some hope that he's finally about to get straightened out. Nevertheless, are you already ready to pull the plug by means of demotion, optioning to the minors, or disabled-list placement -- and if the answer's no, how much more leash are you willing to extend if Feliz continues to struggle?

2. With John Rhadigan now finished as the Rangers' television play-by-play man, which direction do you hope the Rangers end up going in beyond 2011? Should Texas maintain the current Barnett/Grieve and Nadel/Busby/Dolgin status quo, or should more changes be forthcoming?

3. Matt Harrison's dealing with a brand-new blister issue, which is problematic in that the Rangers' pitching depth is still very close to nil. If Harrison is a borderline call in four days' time, which way are you rolling -- Michael Kirkman or Dave Bush spot-starting? Harrison starting anyway, in spite of the risk of blister exacerbation and more missed time? John Koronka rising from the dead to give Texas four mediocre innings before giving way to John Wasdin?

4. A request for a little help: One of our ESPN Sweet Spot sister sites is running a deal next week concerning a hypothetical two-team expansion draft, and the players that each team would want to protect. The setup: Each team can protect 15 players (either major or minor leaguers) from potential selection in the first round of an expansion draft, and then add three more players to that list with each successive round. Anyone drafted in 2010 is ineligible to be picked, as is anyone drafted in 2009 who was 18 years old or younger at the time; post-2011 free agents (e.g. C.J. Wilson) are also ineligible.

So far, I've decided upon Elvis Andrus, Mitch Moreland, Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton, Ian Kinsler, Colby Lewis, Alexi Ogando, Derek Holland, Neftali Feliz, and Martin Perez as locks, which leaves five more open spots on my personal list. Who else would you personally consider locks on your own 15-player list, and, for that matter, would you exclude any of the 10 players I've listed thus far?

5. What are the 2-3 most memorable baseball games -- Rangers-related or not -- you have ever personally attended? Bonus points if you can conjure up a non-playoff selection, since we're all well aware of what rendered Game 6 of last year's ALCS perhaps the most memorable game in franchise history.

[I'm not big on the entire concept of recycling posts, but I'm willing to make an exception just this once.]
