Mark down another sharp play for Young at 3rd. His initial reactions are looking better and better.

Damn, Barajas going deep. BRING IN HOLLAND!!!!

LOL, J/K.................................for now.

April 22, 2009 at 6:35 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Don't really like the look of the lineup with Vizquel in the 2 hole.
...
Ouch, Barajas just crushed a 2-run homer.

We might get to see Holland before too much longer if they hit more balls like that.

April 22, 2009 at 6:36 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike E

Barajas making up for the ball young snaged last night

April 22, 2009 at 6:38 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that was the plan before the game started. I think Harrison is on a really short leash.

April 22, 2009 at 6:38 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

yeah, even last year his record looked good at 9-2 but i think the rangers averaged 10 runs per game when he pitched

Cruz almost got that one into the gap.

April 22, 2009 at 6:42 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

Can anyone explain to me why the guy leading our team in homeruns is batting 7th?

April 22, 2009 at 6:45 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike E

even out the power? it hasnt hurt us any this year

April 22, 2009 at 6:46 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

It looks like Davis is getting his power stroke back. And against a lefty too!

April 22, 2009 at 6:46 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike E

This game looks like it might be shaping up to be a slugfest.

April 22, 2009 at 6:47 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike E

Yeah that was a sweet swing followed by a Salty single.

April 22, 2009 at 6:48 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

cruz 7th, nice job wash nice

April 22, 2009 at 7:00 PM | Unregistered Commenteremoboy

Get Holland warmed up!!!! LOL, I'm actually rooting for Harrison's demise, I'm so awful.

April 22, 2009 at 7:16 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Barajas must still be holding a grudge for getting passed over for Gerald Laird.

April 22, 2009 at 7:19 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike E

Odd that my previous comment apparently didn't go through...batting Omar second and Cruz seventh is strange, to say the least...

Holland stretching in the bullpen, although the call has apparently not been made yet...this could get interesting...

April 22, 2009 at 7:22 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

And now an Alex Rios RBI single makes it 5-2...Holland watchers might want to stay on high alert, because this is probably the closest we've come to seeing him make his major league debut...

April 22, 2009 at 7:24 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

Already gotten used to seeing Andrus make a play on those grounders up the middle. Vizquel doesn't have the same range anymore.

April 22, 2009 at 7:24 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike E

Yes or no. Harrison comes out for the 5th? If he does, do we see Holland tonight?

April 22, 2009 at 7:25 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Harrison narrowly averts yielding what would have been a three-run homer from Vernon Wells...you know, I like Harrison about as much as anybody, but this strike-zone nibbling has become really tiresome...

April 22, 2009 at 7:27 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

I submit that Harrison will come back out, but with a very short leash...

April 22, 2009 at 7:28 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

He touched 94 tonight. I guess he thinks he has to be Kenny Rogers, but he's obviously not much of a finesse pitcher.

April 22, 2009 at 7:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Yes double for Young. I want them to get Derek a win lolololol.

April 22, 2009 at 7:32 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Ok, well I'm getting dragged off to go see a Mariners game. My predictions are that Harrison does not get through the 5th and we see Holland come in. He gives up a homer to one of the 1st two batters he faces, but then settles down for the next 2-3 innings. While he shuts them down the Rangers go on to score another 10 runs.

WHAT, SCREW YOU FELDMAN

April 22, 2009 at 7:36 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Feldman in relief. Blech.

April 22, 2009 at 7:37 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

At least he's being efficient.

April 22, 2009 at 7:38 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

That was aa nice look at Feldman, somewhat refreshing to see some quality from him.

April 22, 2009 at 7:42 PM | Unregistered CommenterDwayne

Feldman is coming back out : |. I wonder if Holland is taking Benson's spot.

April 22, 2009 at 7:56 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

TR.com says benson's on the DL

April 22, 2009 at 8:02 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

HE'S WARMING UP!!!

April 22, 2009 at 8:04 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Feldman continues the bleeding by yielding an RBI single on a pretty bad pitch...I'm about ready to see Derek Holland...

April 22, 2009 at 8:05 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

Holland's in.

And so it begins.

April 22, 2009 at 8:07 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

And so the new era of Rangers baseball begins. LET'S GO HOLLAND.

April 22, 2009 at 8:09 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

He hit 96. Wow, good control as well.

April 22, 2009 at 8:14 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

my eyes do not deceive me...he looks like a big league pitcher..way to go dutch!!

April 22, 2009 at 8:14 PM | Unregistered Commentertony

He made Aaron Hill look foolish.

April 22, 2009 at 8:41 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

and gets wells he looked good

April 22, 2009 at 8:46 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

Got Wells looking. I don't know about his breaking pitches though. They all seemed to be in the middle of the zone. I imagine he will learn to keep it down. I'm definitely happy though. Only 11 balls.

Now let's get the win against Ryan.

April 22, 2009 at 8:47 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Consider that Kinsler's second-best pitch -- the change-up -- wasn't even on display tonight. Damn, that was enticing.

Let's see if Texas can pull off the miracle rally down three runs...

April 22, 2009 at 8:51 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

And an errant throw gives Texas a chance...up comes Josh Hamilton to pinch-hit for Omar...

April 22, 2009 at 8:52 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

I don't know if Kinsler had the green light there or what, but that was an extremely risky steal attempt that thankfully proved successful...

April 22, 2009 at 8:53 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

Sigh, Hamilton grounds out softly to shortstop...the Rangers' hopes hinge on Young...

April 22, 2009 at 8:54 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

MYYYYYYY love it!! BRAND NEW BALLGAME

April 22, 2009 at 8:54 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

Wow.

April 22, 2009 at 8:55 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

by the way Hamilton said today on an espn chat that he just changed his stance back to what is was last year, he had altered it in the off season so maybe he will start hitting better

April 22, 2009 at 8:56 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

Here comes Eyre, OH NO!!!

April 22, 2009 at 9:00 PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

nice turn and good pitching

April 22, 2009 at 9:06 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

Willie Eyre's hurt and the Rogers Centre contingent is booing. Classy.

April 22, 2009 at 9:19 PM | Registered CommenterJoey Matschulat

That’s horrible of there fans, Eyre knows its bad though he immediately motioned to the bench after the pitch

April 22, 2009 at 9:20 PM | Registered CommenterJustin

CEEEEEJJJJ. we need to score some runs quick.

Tom and Josh just said Eyre had tightness in his groin so nothing to do with the arm
