Notes: Per Richard Durrett of the Dallas Morning News:

It appears David Murphy is out for the season. Manager Ron Washington conceded as much today and Murphy said he'd rather make sure he's completely healthy for his off-season workouts, rather than come back for one series or one week of games.

Murphy had a cortisone shot and an MRI on his right knee last Tuesday. The shot helped reduce the swelling, but he still can't really run for very long periods. The MRI revealed a small tear in the [posterior cruciate ligament] and a bone bruise, but nothing more. Murphy is confident he'll be ready for the off-season, but at this point is just taking it easy.
