Notes: Per Richard Durrett of the Dallas Morning News:

Vicente Padilla threw about 45 pitches today and said he felt better. He's slated to start Tuesday.

Padilla has been bothered by neck inflammation and has had his start backed up a few times recently. But it appears he's finally ready to go. If he hadn't been, the disabled list was an option.

Light showers continue to pass through the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but the tarp is not currently on the field and no significant delays are anticipated.

"It's going to be that way for the rest of the season. GM Jon Daniels said Hank Blalock was too sore to make the throws from third to first. He'll go to Frisco tomorrow for a three-game (or so) rehab and then could join the club on Friday at first base.

Chris Davis told the club he was willing to make the move. If Davis performs well, he could stay at third. Or the club could move him back to first next season. But it's going to be this way for the rest of the season so they can get them both in the lineup."

So, Hank's shoulder is truly shot then...
