NEWSFLASH: Littleton To Boston

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News is reporting that RHP Wes Littleton has been traded to the Boston Red Sox for a PTBNL or cash. More to follow.

Update: According to a Boston press release, the Rangers will receive two PTBNL or cash considerations in exchange for Littleton.

The deal may not be technically finalized until close to Opening Day, and the return Texas recoups could ultimately hinge on whether Littleton survives several perilous rounds of roster cuts next spring and breaks camp as part of Boston's active roster. In any event, Littleton will be immediately placed on the Red Sox' 40-man roster.

Evan Grant now reports that the second PTBNL will likely be contingent on whether Littleton makes Boston's Opening Day roster.
