What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Were wrong about our #1 PROSPECT. To think we could have had J. Upton. But the bright side is we have a .230 hitting utility guy for the next 10-15 years. No longer do we get Stanton for Profar and maybe 2 top PROSPECTS. Nah that ship sailed. And don't start with the "but he's only 20 crap" VASTLY OVERATED and in your heart you know I'm right.
Cm on you nerd turds-defend this loser.
Profar as been one of the hottest players on the team currently. He is hitting very well over this week and that sounds good going into October
yeah if only ALL our guys could hit .230. you idiot
JD stick to that assessment, and we will see where he is in 1 to 2 years. If you can not see that Profar is talented as a baseball player, that is no surprise. Everyone else in the MLB does, including Washington- and is why Profar's name is penciled in on a near daily basis.Trout in his very first season in the majors in 2011 went .220/.291/.390, I am sure you would have said the same about him as you have this season about JP. Is Profar the next 30/30 guy? No one has ever remotely suggested that, although the seasons have not been played yet. Is he better than a 3/30 guy, definitely and should produce more power production on a monthly basis then the current staring Ranger short stop does on a seasonal basis. This in itself is not hugely significant, until the 7th inning on when a drive between the outfield gap or over the fence becomes much more significant.
Jurickson Profar is hitting .242 on the season. In the last 7 games he is .292/.346/.500 OPS--.846 with a home run and 2 doubles. He's playing well now--but don't let the facts stand in the way of a good rant!
and we will see where he is in 1 to 2 years
Fuck 1-2 yrs you idiot-we are in a pennant race. Btw did you see him loaf to 1st today?
I hope it's somewhere else going 0-4 and not hustling on ground balls and going to sleep on the basepaths.
I'll take JD's point even further:
I was appalled by the way Profar jogged to first. I was screaming at Wash to yank him for that.
I was also appalled at Darvish for brusing off Maddux and AJ at the mound.
The biggest problem this team has IMO is a too-relaxed, prima donna attitude that limits them from playing with the necessary intensity. Tuesday night it took a collision at home plate with AJ to rouse them from their funk. But they slipped right back into it for yesterday's shellacking.
Deja vu all over again (last year).
