ISumming up:A an outfield that is in flux and needs HELPB an infield that is OK defensively and so-so on offense-vastly overpaidC Catching is MAJOR hole that MUST be addressedD starting pitching has been decimated by injuries but has done better than record indicates.E relief pitching has been STELLAR and the strong point of the team without a doubt.
Tongue in cheek I submit we bring back Oswalt, put Kins at catcher, trade Nathan to LAD for Kemp[good one Lee],put beltre's gimpy legs in a hyperbolic chamber. bring pudge back until Alfaro is ready, hire a baserunning coach, let Kins bat with a nine iron. This team sadly is NOT a WS team and it saddens me. I have confidence this offseason these needs will be addressed. I just hopwe we don't trade all of our precious PROSPECTS. However it might be nice for a change to watch the fade away in someone elses system.
Outstanding summary, however I propose putting Andrus behind the plate instead of Kins. Elvis head is always in the game, has a cannon for an arm, can really concentrate on defense because we all know how often he is going to put one over the fence and how often he is going to knock in over 63 runs in a season with over 700 plate appearances.
Wow an imposter turd
Sadly, this is not bad so I edited it a bit.
A look at the 40 man roster. 1. Cotts-7th inning guy doing a great job2. Darvish-solid #1A3. Frasor.-Better than most thought4. Garza-pitches tonite-would probably be a good sign.5. Holland-solid #2-6. Nathan-NEEDS TO BE TRADED NOW!!7. Ogando-best suited for pen, amen.8. Perez-will be solid mid rotation guy, has been impressive in a few starts this season.9. Ross.-valuable contributor10 Scheppers-might wanna take a self defense course.-nice piece (funny) but he could be the closer in waiting.11. Soria-heir apparent to closer's job.-Jd get raves for this sign12.Wolf-GONE at seasons end.13 Pierzynski-Gone at seasons end but has performed well, love the attitude.14. Soto-decent bench catcher, calls a good game reliable backstop for Darvish and Garza.15. Andrus-sadly we overpaid-good guy and all that but seriously, agreed we paid way too much for his offense.16 Kinsler-Maybe top 2 or 3 postion players on team 17 A Beltre-great 3b-but boy those legs-hard to watch him run18. Moreland-DISAPPOINTING< SAD< ETC>19.Profar-Too early to tell, but has no position to play blocked by Andrus and Kinsler. 20. Baker-Bench guy will be overexposed soon.21 E Beltre-Flashes of talent could be good, too early to tell. No pop.22 Cruz-Suspended very soon but how long?23 Gentry-great 4th outfielder/pinch runner again no pop.24 Martin- great arm-shows flashes of greatness.25 Murphy-Gone in offseason unless he signs very cheap.27 Berkman-HEALTH BAD KNEES NO POWER NO THREAT.28 Feliz-once had IT-now reports are he is lazy with rehab29 Harrison-Hopefully returns to form.30 Kirkman-Needs to go.31 C Lewis-a real shame-probably gone32. Justin miller-Developing33 Tepesch.-Needs seasoning.34 Joe Benson-Needs development.35 C burns-Bullpen piece.36 Chirinos-No pop, little glove, no speed, no clue.37 Font-Wild but great power arm.38 L Garcia-Wash hates him39 Lindbloom-Bullpen at best.40 Mcguinness-Needs seasoning.41 Roman Mendez-developing42 Ortiz-decent lefty43 N Ramirez-Probably a Cubbie44 M West-tragic case.
All in all I find it hard to argue with much in his post.
I don't need an idiot named Chuck editing my post. Make your own post. Ive read some of your stuff Chuck but I didn't edit even though someone should have
The wild card on the 40 + 60 dayers is Joe Benson. A five tool player, who if he ever could stay healthy, could end up starting in right field for the Rangers in 2014. Benson was a football player headed for Purdue when the Twins drafted him in the second round of 2006. He made it to the majors with the Twins in 2011, had a bad 2012 at AA/ AAA, was released by the Twins and picked up by the Rangers. He showed himself as a 5 -tool cf for Frisco until injuring himself again. Since, he is bouncing back and if the Rangers stay on their current course, Benson could be a September call up or even replace Cruz [ if Cruz accepts suspension soon to be forthcoming]. He is the only outfield candidate that bats from the right side that could be called up and play the outfield on a regular basis. However, it must be pointed out that Benson is a Minnesota Twins reject, but then so was Jose Bautista for the Pirates and Josh Hamilton for Tampa Bay.
Chuck, do not take JD seriously. He is capable of a decent post from time to time when actually sticking to baseball. His character flaws and sarcasm however is always there. Who else would suggest that Kinsler or Andrus should be the Rangers catcher.
Yes I actually agree on this one. Trust me I ignore him quite well. Hopefully Benson can help some because things is looking a little grim on the offensive side.
