What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
I hope Profar didn't give up his apatrment in Round Rock.

This guy is about half of what we were told he was. No wonder no one wants him in a trade. Reminds me of last year's version of MY only a little better fielder. AA is where he belongs.
Move along now....Nothing left to see here.....
@JD- Do you even know anything about baseball? I'm getting real tired, real fast of your mouth.
still isn't me but I do approve.
Joe, do you know anything about baseball? If you did you would know Profar has not lived up to his #1 prospect status. AA is where the kid belongs.
Mike I haven't said anything about your post! the comment about JD and his mouth I didn't post but I do agree with.
But since you called me out... How is it that Profar hasn't lived up to his #1 status? Because he didn't come in a crush the ball like Trout or Harper? He isn't the same type of player as either of those 2! He has come in and played 4 different positions batted all over the line up and has still managed to hit .250 with 3 hrs in a little over 100 at bats. and defensively he's been as good as Elvis, Kinsler and Beltre and last night I thought he played better than Murphy would have! All that and the kid just turned 20!
So you tell me how is this kid a disappointment???
Mike, if you call yourself a Ranger fan might as well pull for Profar instead of denigrating him. Aside for Martin, Profar is the best rookie the Rangers have. He has already shown more pop then Andrus, although that really is not saying much. Profar will have at least more homers and clutch power drives then the 11 which Elvis has shown in 2500 + plate appearances.
Did you just see him fail to get the tag down on a pickoff play? BRUTAL
Well, excuse me, Elvis has 14 homers in just short of 3000 plate appearances or 1 every 212 pa.
Trade both of em then.
After today the next 20 games this month will decide the Rangers 2013 season. Seven of the next ten games against the Orioles, and 3 each against the Tigers and Angels. Four against the Yankees with three against the Indians will look like the softer part of the twenty. Placing Tepesch on the disabled list calls for a fifth starter. Unless Ogando suddenly gets strong, and he is weeks away, the Rangers are going to have to go with Lindblom or call up Ramirez, who has been solid at Frisco. All this drives up Garza's value. The desperation also drives up the value of Rios. Without starting upgrades over Grimm and Tepesch and an addition of another right handed power bat, which none but Manny are currently in the organization, the Rangers are not going far in the playoffs, if they can even get there and not slide to third in the West. The one thing going for them, and it is even reflected in every level of their minor league affiliates, they believe they are a winning organization even if lacking in top talent and reflective numbers.
I really expected Profar to be like Trout and Harper to be honest with you. Scouts are generally right on the top overall prospect. I thought Profar would EASILY be an all star in his rookie season. It looks like I'm wrong. I have to admit that I expected Profar to be a far more impact player in his first year in the major leagues.
the rangers typically value their prospects too highly. to think upton could have been had for this dud.
Profar at every level in the minors started slow and by the end of the year was rated the best player in that league. Even last season his numbers were just .281/.368/.452. Compare that to .359/.422/.610 at a higher level. Those were Martin's numbers at Round Rock in 2012, yet Profar was ranked by nearly all meaningful scouts as the Rangers #1 prospect & #1 in the MLB by most including Baseball America AND Martin the #4 prospect on the Rangers by B.A. Those who rank Profar as "he sucks" or "this dud" simply know so little of pro baseball as to make their comments a total waste and clear evidence of their personal athletic abilities. Harper [who was drafted as a catcher and proved quickly ineffective] and Trout only had the outfield to contend with, Profar has already played second, short, third and left field, and yet he is labeled a dud. This really says very little for specific BBTIA postings and Ranger fans.
Wow he can be MY lite.
