What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
I think it's time for Wash to step it into high gear and shift a few things around in order for our Rangers to become true championship contenders. For one thing Wash needs to get his you know what out of his you know where and reconstruct the lineup completely! I think our best bet is1)Leonys Martin2)Kinsler3)Moreland4)Cruz5)Beltre6)Profar LF7)Pierzinsky8)Berkman9)Andrus
Good thing I'm not manager though right? Bring it on JD.
Ok explain why this is so much better Terry? Why move Moreland up and Cruz and Beltre down? Why use Berkman at all? are you saying to use Profar in Left field? IF he's ready why use him over Beltre?I'm not arguing so much as trying to figure out what your thinking...
Wow you're really fond of Martin, aren't you? Not trying to be mean, but a shift like that will have nothing but negative consequences. Why does everyone need to be shifted. I thought Leonys should take over the number two spot, not Kinslers. That makes no sense. And Moreland at the number 3 spot?? Profar is not even ready to play OF right now, so they can't just throw him out there. Lance isn't going to be around for much longer because of his knee issues, so I don't see that happening. Maybe Manny Ramirez can work his way up from the minors to fill the DH spot. The only one I agree with is Elvis at #9.
I can't stop laughing.
LOL--JD is laughing cause he posted all that!
So--JD do you want me to come out and play?
I'm thinking about posting an open letter of apology to Joe Nathan. And trying to decide what i think would be fair exchange for Matt Garza.
Fuck you JD.
Wow Joe c. seems pissed. PMS???
1) Martin2) Ian3) Cruz4) Beltre5) AJ6) Mitch7) Murphy8) Elvis9) Profar
That's what I'd like to see right now.
Andy-you seem to have the mistaken opinion that we care what you think.
I didn't post the FU to JD but I do approve!
JoeC: go back to your vaccuuming.
Andy: Where do you see Profar playing? I like the lineup with Martin leading off and Kinsler batting in the 2 slot. So does Ian or Profar DH, or rotate?
Why would you ask her?
Why the fuck would I ask you?
A good imposter would examine the real subject's style in order to accomplish the deception.
I just stay up all night. Yawn you guys posts always put me to sleep. Its 4;22 in the morning here and I love that you guys posts are how I actually get to sleep during the day.
I don't understand Martin-Kinsler. 2 hole needs to be able to move runners over not gidp or pop up. Kinsler followed by Martin makes much more sense. A Elvis9-Kinsler1-Martin2 would do wonders. As long as the bottom of the lineup isn't lefty-lefty-lefty-lefty-lefty
What is Kinslerr's PAR[popup above replacement]?
@primi: in that lineup, wherever he can fit. Rotate guys through DH. They've tried Profar at 2B, SS, and 3B, and tonight, LF. With that cast of characters, anyone can DH.
@East: you seem to be following the old idea that your #2 hitter should be a bat control guy, which typically means he doesn't hit for power much, can bunt, and steal. In fact, your #2 hitter should be one of the better hitters on the team (at least top 3). When Ian isn't slumping, he's one of our best hitters. Also he's one of the few guys we have that can both hit for power and run pretty well. But even if you want to think about the conventional wisdom most managers still adhere to, Ian is capable of hitting to move guys over. We've seen him do it (sometimes) when it counts.
Martin is the best hitter on the team, right now, without much power. He's getting on base and stealing. That screams leadoff. Cruz doesn't hit for the highest average on the team, but he does live and die by the long ball. Per The Book, this makes him the ideal candidate for the 3 spot. Beltre is probably still the Rangers best hitter with power, so #4 for him.
Berkman hasn't hit many homers, but he's been drawing walks as we expected. If he were hitting a little more often, since he still has some gap power, he would be the ideal #5 hitter. But he's not hitting right now, so I didn't include him. I would say the same about Mitch before he got hurt, but he's also not hitting that well since he came back, either.
Wash must be listening to you, Andy. Profar is in LF tonight. Against the Astros with Yu pitching is a good time to try this out.
