What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
It's bad enough that the A's have won 15 of 17!!!!!!!But do they have to lead off the game with a home run?Who is Josh Donaldson? What is going on!
They are a good team maybe better than us on half the payroll.
the 2 teams in contention to win the west both do it with pitching defense and speed. I can't believe your surprised.
I can't believe you posted that.
Instead of trading for a long shot has been, call'em up young, let'em play and develop or bust and then make your move. Oakland DEVELOPS their farm hits and trades them for more.
Im not surprised that Oakland is playing well---but nobody wins 15 of 17 games.I hope they get their ridiculous winning streak out of their system in May and June.......instead of September
The A's have feasted on the Angels, Astros, Royals and White Soxs to a 20 and 1 record, with only a 5 to 4 loss to the Angels in those 21 games. With everyone else, including 6 Rangers games, they are a modest 15 for 23. A division race, and I do not count out the Angels even with a devastating 4 game sweep at the hands of the Astros, can only sharpen the Rangers focus on every game if they are to be successful in 2013. One solace is that this season, and this has not been the situation in a long while, the Rangers have the stronger starting staff, with at full strength, excellent depth.
KC, HOU, SF, CHI (AL), and MIL will always help your W-L record.
And despite this 15 of 17 streak, the Rangers are still +19 in run differential, and we've been playing very average baseball of late. When the competition improves, the A's will level off into the 86-win team they are.
I didn't mean to suggest that the Giants are a pushover, but they have had a cold start to the 2013 season.
There they go again! A's leading Brew Crew 6-1.They jumped out 2-0 in the first inning last night.......
Will there be a June swoon for Rangers?Playing BOS-TOR-CLE-OAK-STL-NNY & CIN ???
Who will lead the division on July 1st?
So this 20 games in 20 days stretch is underway and not looking very promising .
Rangers have a 1/2 game division lead.At this point--who would think we would be sending Tepesch to the hill needing him to go 7.We have Baker and McGuiness in the line up.
Toronto is the only sub .500 team we play all month.Hurry up Joakim Soria .Lets hope Ross and Scheppers can hold up.Murphy--keep that arm limber.
And the A's show no signs of slowing down!
They're still doing it!A's are really hissing me off.
The Rangers had a similar stretch in 2011. In fact, from August 26th until Game 7 of the World Series, they didn't lose back-to-back games.
Oakland is a good team. They keep finding ways to do just enough to win. It's frustrating because we keep thinking they're playing over their head. But they haven't regressed. They've been playing at about a .640 clip for almost a year now.
