What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
To get to the happinesses of selecting a 4 pitcher playoff rotation, one must first be in the playoffs, which these days requires a 5 man rotation. It also requires being healthy in October, a condition that may be at risk if 100+ pitches per game becomes the norm. It is a long season and there are still a lot of questions.
Holland / Fister is an excellent early season matchup for our team.Rooks give a couple apiece for a split:---> going for 3 of 4Next set is June 21 - 23 @ St. Louis.
We're playing with house money right now. It's the middle of May and 60% of the rotation is on the disabled list, yet we maintain the most seizable advantage on our division (+6.5) in all of baseball. We're getting contributions from Leonys Martin and Mitch Moreland. We have a troika of rookies named Grimm, Tepesch and Lindblom starting games for us. This team isn't even remotely close to full strength and they are still the best team in their division, and one of the best-5 in MLB.
I don't really understand it, but I'm enjoying it. That's all I really care about right now.
You never have understood it.
What is "it"?
Good win by the team tonight. Lots of good, informative posts, too - especially by Eric and Romeo. Thanks for taking the time to participate, guys.
"What is 'it'?"
(Mad props if you get that, btw.)
Epic post Andy. See what I did there?
In a weird way, I am worried that when all the injured SPs are back, we will not be as good as we are now. I would wait till Cobra, Harrison and Perez are completely healthy and get two or three really good outings before rushing them in. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
That is more a concern with Feliz and Harrison, I think. Tommy John surgery works well sometimes and not as well at others. A lot depends on how a pitcher adjusts. What is Neffy's work ethic like? Is he going to try to be the same pitcher?
Harrison had double back surgery. Until recently, he couldn't even leave his house or drive a car. I wouldn't be surprised to see him lose the 2013 season, entirely. I would have reservations about bringing him back in September.
Lewis' surgery type is "better" than the other two. He says he feels great. We'll see. But I think he'll, after minor league rehab and 2-3 starts, be himself again.
We need to start getting people back by early to mid August. Any later than that, is too late, IMO.
"See what I did there?"
I did. Well done, sir.
I like new complementary JD. This has been a pleasant shift today.
Rangerboring" Learn to spell.
And so it goes.. I should have taken my own continuous advice... "Don't feed the trolls."
Good word play, rangerbourne. "Up" does complement "down", doesn't it? Dr. Goodness says I'm making progress, and it's helpful for me to let everything out. I got home late tonight (see other forum), and Sean Tom had vomited again. If I seem a little testy (now, rangerbourne, don't make a "little teste" joke, hahaha) tonight or tomorrow in the forums, that's why.
Go Rangers! Go, Wash! And Go all my friends on the forums!! Yay!!
