What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Let me start off by saying, Fuck the angels and their loser fans. Here you will find one of the more rage inducing possible things you can find on the internet. What a condescending, smarmy ass hat this guy is to tell an entire fan base how they should act. Fuck you kindly, sir. Nothing else needs to be said about Josh Hamilton and why he is or isn't booed. The Angels fan base is a bunch of self important fuck sticks that clings to one championship won over a decade ago. Fuck these self important douchenozzles. I hope their entire team shits themselves all season long and they give up and go watch the Galaxy play.
Wow, thanks for the link. With this site being down I have visited Halosheaven more often but missed that lovely piece.
Haloshaven really is a shit hole isn't it? Weren't they booing Hamilton 7 games into the season when he started his first game in Anaheim?
The behavior of the crowd at HalosHeaven has always been a bit off-putting, but that really takes the cake. The unbelievable self-righteousness of that group is a big part of why I don't consider the Angels rivals, I consider them disease-carrying pond scum that must be destroyed.
Get over it-GEEEEZ
Like angels fans have any business lamenting any fan base for booing a player. I've watched them boo a 20 yr old kid.
Hahahaha, that shit is great.
I bet they'll pat themselves on the back when the entire ballpark cheers for Napoli.
Stay obsessed Anaheim.
And pay no attention to the cognitive dissonance behind the mirror as you make fun of us for being obsessed with Hamilton. We're just pissed at a guy that insulted us. You guys need to lecture us in order to feel superior.
The analogy doesn't work anyways. Torri Hunter didn't mail it in during a (hopeful) playoff run last year, and then insult the fan base after signing with a rival.
I saw that and considered responding (benevolently of course) just to set the record straight, but eventually decided I didn't care THAT much. As KH said, Hambone got destroyed because he mailed it in, not because he left for a rival. Of course playing for our arch-rivals and talking shit about our city compounds the problem, but I personally wouldn't have minded, and would have cheered his return, had he not very clearly quit on the team last year.
A lot of Rangers fans are also Mavs fans and we remember the whole Lamar Odom fiasco, and so we hold a considerable amount of disdain toward players who refuse to try. Give us everything you've got and you will be fully supported. That's the deal. And for that reason Mike Napoli will be cheered when he returns to the ballpark, as will Michael Young if he does. Maybe Angels fans have a more laissez faire disposition when it comes to player effort; maybe it's a SoCal thing. Which is good. Because I've watched Josh play quite a bit this year, and the lack of hustle is still blatantly obvious, the Arlington series being exhibit A. He batted timidly, he played the field even more timidly, and that is unacceptable.
Our job as fans is to support the team as best we can, and if a player is mentally weak and crumbles under the weight of fans jeering him, it is our obligation to boo him as loudly as possible. It's just bidness, right Josh?
The above is an imposter as if anyone couldn't tell
We'll see if they feel the same when he lazily jogs out to a ball over his head in July or August. I'd say October but I think they'll be out of the running by then. He's their head case now. They deserve each other.
As far as Torii --you think they cheer for him if he'd have insulted the entire fan base on the way out? He even made comments after the fact that he'd like to have stayed. They've got Josh now instead of Torii --I'd be happy to see him, too.
Prince Fielder WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TAMPA BAY...WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!! GO, RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thx for the link, Revsader. Typical self-important drivel from a self-entitled fan base. The fans with baseball knowledge seem to stay away as there is very little serious discussion over there. If they think it is beyond the good manners of baseball to boo JH, then let them boo the Rangers in Anaheim.
When all the blustered insults die down the Angels are going to have to deal with Josh, a crappy rotation, a worse bullpen, no farm system, and an aging Pujols who probably is older than than published. And Halos Heaven is faced with adversity they mope, and cry, and other immature things. They were funny as shit end of last season.
^^^^Sums things up nicely. Their meltdowns are entertaining to say the least.
I think it's funny that they truly believe their opinion on baseball matters more because the Giants choked in Game 6 of the 2002 world series. Apparently that gives them more insight on EVERYTHING. Sadly it just makes them smarmy douches. He mocks the Texas education center, and they call people hayseed and talk about incest. All the while Texas creates more jobs and isn't in debt. Sad group of people. When you attack the state of where a team plays, because you have nothing else to attack you've sunk to a very low spot.
What I don't get is why that post chastises Ranger fans for booing Hamilton, when we waited almost an entire season before we booed Hamilton last year, yet the Angels have been booing him since the first week of this season. Double standard?
Further, I remember many a warm welcome for the likes of Pudge and Cliff Lee to name a couple. Hamilton, CJ, and ARod are the only ones I can remember receiving boos upon their return, all rightly so.
Anyone else think there's some deep meaning behind Halos Heaven and constantly calling the Rangers fans for committing incest?
Like I wonder if they've got really attractive sisters or plastic barbie mothers or something because they're apparently obsessed with incest.
Incest and telling us how we should feel.
What an idiot post
I totally agree Ace. What's funny is how awesome they think they are and pat themselves on the back for making incest jokes. Funny thing is all of us are probably far more progressive and forward thinking than them. Backwards people like to label others. We just watch and laugh.
the longer Hamilton's ineffective play goes on I begin to have a different take on old josh. i think he didn't so much mail it in as he has just lost it. His attitude of not having to make adjustments makes him extremely vulnerable to teams that have a clue and don't just throw him fastballs over the plate. the longer he persists in not understanding the strike zone and being unwilling to take walks will limit his effectiveness and make the angels investment a rediculous waste of resources.
