What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Does anyone use this service? If so, is it worth it? Seems like it would be a great way to keep tabs on the AAA and AA teams in baseball, and for 39.99 doesn't seem like too bad of a price to pay.
If you are really into following them that closely, have at it.
What I've come to realize in my days listening to Minor League games on the radio: good pitching prospects can only start every fifth day (and usually for only 4-6 innings at a time), and good hitting prospects are blended into lineups with a bunch of guys you really don't care about.
When I was a teenager, during the summer I'd try to catch every Thomas Diamond start. He was my favorite prospect at the time. The problem was, there were really no other prospects on the Bakersfield team he was on, so I found myself looking forward to one Diamond start a week which usually resulted in high strikeout, high walk games.
Anyway, that's beside the point. My final answer is that I love prospects as much as anyone, but I don't find MiLB.tv to be something I would ever pay for.
Part of it is principle, though, because I think everything Minor League -- at least multimedia-related -- should be free.
As it is, the guys I really look forward to keeping tabs on will be in Hickory this year anyway.
I am excited about heading to Round Rock next week though. Haven't been since the Express became the Rangers' affiliate.
Her's a suggestion--GET A LIFE. There is a whole world out there, you just have to come outta your Mom's basement to enjoy it.

Got one. Thanks. That's why I'm not on this board 24x7. But, I do come around from time-to-time and I can only wonder how much time you spend trolling an excellent fan board like this one.
Not really what you asked for, but it hit my mail box today. It is from the Newberg report:
Radio broadcasts of all minor-league games are available for free here: http://www.milb.com/milb/multimedia/audio.jsp
For $39.99, you can watch every Round Rock game, all but a few of Frisco and a majority of Myrtle Beach. The video/camera quality in Round Rock and Frisco is excellent. Other teams are just as good, while AAA New Orleans has a single camera perched atop a light standard in Slidell. Myrtle Beach is offering video for the first time this season. Hickory does not have video. Three South Atlantic teams do, but Hickory will play only seven games all season in those locations.http://www.milb.com/milb/multimedia/milbtv.jsp
I swear to God I was reading on of Draggle's posts. Fuck I fell to sleep.
