What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Rangers announced this morning that Robbie Parker, whose six-year-old daughter Emilie was tragically killed in the Newtown, Connecticut shooting in December, will throw out the first pitch when the Rangers open their home schedule against the Angels on Friday, April 5.
Below is the official press release from the Rangers.
And if you click this link – http://forum.newbergreport.com/showthread.php?15070-A-Special-Thank-You – you’ll be taken to a message from Chuck Morgan to the Newberg Report community, which raised more than $43,000 for the Emilie Parker Memorial Fund, the proceeds of which the Parker family has shared with other families whose children were senselessly lost in the tragedy.
The Lone Star Ball, Baseball Time in Arlington, and ShutDownInning communities raised thousands of dollars for the Fund as well.
Completely unnecessary. First we build a statue "for the fans" because of a tragedy and now we have to wheel out another fan and his kids, on opening day no less, due to another tragedy? Give it a rest Rangers.
It is "Conspiracy". Just saying.
I don't have an issue with it, although I don't feel it is necessary to have Robbie Parker toss out the first pitch.
If I were him, I'm not sure I would have accepted. Just another reminder of the daughter he lost.
No problem with this. In fact, I think it's kind of cool. Throwing out the first pitch happens thousands of times a year. It is a nice gesture, but not something that is overdone. It is better than the alternative which was to have Michael Young come throw it out.
Wonder if he will be smiling as big while throwing that pitch as he was approximately 10 seconds before explaining how heartbroken he and his family were about his daughter's brutal murder....
So maybe he shouldn't ever watch baseball again either because that will remind him of his daughter. He was her father --everything is going to remind him of her. For a long time. I hope he smiles, has a good time and feel like he did his daughter proud by taking a spot on the diamond (they both loved) in her honor. You trolls need to get bent.
Maybe they can get Gene Rosen to sing "Take me out to the ball game".
F you fatass. Stupid. You need a girlfriend. So giggle with your friends and post sheet at me. Bitch.
Anyone else notice that Joey disappeared after the Emilie Parker campaign fund advertisement? Comments somehow became mysteriously disabled and deleted when people started raising suspicions on the legitimacy of the whole Sandy Hook episode. Now the Rangers and Robbie Parker are campaigning together!
What's next? Lee Harvey Oswalt's long lost son is Jon Daniels?
@Michelle: You know I'm not a troll. I just gave my honest opinion on the matter.
Sorry, BZ. I was countering your point but the troll remark was directed at others in this thread.
Michelle, here's an idea-go bake a cake. Or maybe vaccuum something.
Man, this site sucks in the off season.
Michelle-i didn't write that--damn trolls.
I would have suggested that you make us a nice Rotelle dip before the game starts!
Yep, this site pretty much blows now. It's just a bunch of wannabe comedians now just trolling around seeing who they can piss off. Pretty weak, Joey. I can't believe you let this happen.
Joey died numb nuits.
Sure beats some over-hyped celebrity. Now, if they'll insist the National Anthem must be sung as composed.....
???? Samson ???
JV=the little girl (boy, 12 yrs old) also posting as NtE and all of his friends/split personalities....
lil bitch dog posting as "puppy"
What's it like being so smart?
Probably the opposite of what it's like being you.
This is the current climate in America. Feel guilty about everything and try to soothe your soul by promoting victims so you can mourn with them. What has happened to us? What kind of a man throws out a first pitch to celebrate his daughter's death. Will the Rangers sell his book in the gift store when it comes out? Amazing how many people try to profit from tragedy.
