What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
I came to this site for the first time in 3 months and nothing has changed. The forum has degenerated to outright lies and I can safely mark this forum off my bookmark and follow other Rangers websites with real information. Why ESPN still lists this site is ridiculous.
You do not dare have to quit this website unless you look for some information or opinions about Rangers. There are still a number of honest Rangers fans, I think, who are present in here, such as Andy or Terry C ( you guys may allow me to qupte or mention for my cause).
By the way, about the topic. I cannot help thinking that this Grienke staff, whether it is in terms of money of pitching staff, comes to an issue here more frequently than it should have been. He's gone for now or ever. We still need to bring him up now yet?
Well, it festered into a conflict within the organization. Apparently, Daniels won with his decision, not Nolan.
PT i agree with you.I wanted Grienke and Ross and we could have gotten them.
The Rangers should be willing to "overpay" for a TORP.We play in the American Hitters League. We play in a hitters ballpark. And it's very hot in Texas.
Chicken shits like Clif Lee wont pitch here.
But yet chicken shits like you continue to post here. Cliff Lee was an average pitcher here. Ross is a journeyman player at best. NEXT
Thank you for sharing.....Nancy.
Players have a continued distrust & even a dislike of Jon Daniels. Not so with Nolan Ryan. Theirs a certain amount of balance that needs to be present in a successful sports organization.
Cliff Lee was not a big fan of JD. If not for Ryan, we'd never had much of a chance to even talka contract. We all know of Mike Young's mistrust. Anyone naïve enough to think players don'ttalk between each other about likes & dislikes, personalities, etc.? Daniels social grace precedesany meetings/dealings of ones that have never met him. Other GM's are not segregated from it either.
Maybe it's time Thad Levine gets a promotion also...a more "in your face position" say, new Ranger GM?Of course, that would mean that Daniels would have to check his ego in and allow what's best for the org.It would certainly keep the young front office intact, if that is purposely what the owners are trying to retain. We still need Nolan Ryan. Without we lose the integrity and stature it's taking 50 years to build and display.Daniels is very astute and a good numbers man. The team ought to grow financially. It's still a sport and withall sports, it needs a hero figure as Nolan Ryan. Not that Daniels is a villain, but I'd hate for JD to be stamped "the $%& guy that ran Nolan Ryan out of town". Surely undeserved, but... I remember the Tom Landry Days.ALL of them.
Terri: You're welcome.
Hubz-you couldn't be more wrong.
Hubz, when the truth comes out about Grienke, Ross & Upton debacles there will be a whole new twist. You're correct in your assumptions in my view. Making money is a good thing, but not at the expense of the fans that pay for tickets. This 2013 team could have been a power house & a really exciting young team.Seems now it's What IF's with a wing & a prayer hope dice roll. Andy's right too. 70 wins could very well be.
OBI, you are as big an idiot as HUBZ
Nobody listens, so I guess I'm my own best friend. Sigh, boring I know
