Forum > Peace Out Joey?
He's a quitter. There is no other explanation.

I thought I read that he's an accountant.. if that's true, then it would make sense that he would be slammed right now. Hope he hasn't abandoned his site, but I doubt he would abandon something he put so much time and effort into.
Danny
You obviously missed this tweet yesterday...
Joey Matches @BBTiA
I effectively spent 50 days and 50 nights thinking and writing little to nothing about baseball. I think I'm ready for that to end.
Ruffian
^ That's a good tweet. And yes, he is in public accounting, and likely won't resurface until opening day. He'll return. Chill the f*ck out.
Rangerbourne
He's a quitter.

It's what I've been saying all along. He and Mike will be back.
Things could be worse than his hiatus. Like, I mean, he could have made me a staff contributor in the meantime.

Not enough time for Joey to take 5 minutes and update the website as to what's going on? Seems rather arrogant and disrespectful.
larrybud
He's a quitter. If he cared about any of you he would have posted something.
Ranger Fan
It's good to know he will be back
Not that Eric
Nope, Joey twetted this morning that he had been gone for 52 days and was ready to come back.........welcome him back, he had to do basic training with the company that hired him and assimilate into the company. His return is imminent.
mmurphf
Stand back Burrito!!!!

Everybody, no matter what they do or where they go, has the 5 minutes that larrybud mentions. Not a quick update, photo, song or just to cut and paste something? If he's got time to Tweet, he's got time to work his beat and put something here.
Why check it 5 times a day like I've done for the past 1,000+ days? I lived without it 3 years ago and I can live without it now. Remember, I did say "thank you" to Joey but not to kids on here that swear and pretend they've been fans since the early 70s. The last one out needs to turn off the lights.......................................

He quit like Josh.
Ranger Fan
He's busy with that big boulder blocking his cave. Once he moves that bitch, better watch out, because a Panther shall be roaming. Bring it.

I'm a senior public accountant at a large firm - had over 90 hours of chargeable hours in each of the last 2 weeks. If Joey is working busy season right now, there's no way he would have the time to get any material together for a meaningful post. Give him a break.
Crow
He's just like Michael Young and you all are like Ron Washington. Lovable guy, but you can't admit his time is over and won't replace him in the lineup.
Not that Eric
He quit on ya-get over it. Poor lil accountants working 500 hrs a week--BOO FUCKING HOO.
Ranger Fan
You guys are idiots. Go cry over a website owner.
Ranger Fan
Larrybud; er, Ranger Fan, or Not that eric....you should stick to one screen name. The more you post as different personalities, the more likely you will grow hair on your palms. Joey is quite the opposite of a quitter; he has undertaken a huge laborious step in the rest of his life. Trust me, your time here is drawing to an end and we shall rejoice!
Procurion
What I'm wondering is where the fuck has everyone else gone? We knew Joey would be gone for a while and there's other that contribute to this site. Where have they all gone?
Bob
No one CARES. Don't you get it?

The people whose posts are informative will return when Joey comes back.

I here Joey has been so busy that he hasn't had time to eat or drink or sleep for the last month. Someone said he has lost 55 pounds. I think we should send him a burrito.

The blood, sweat and tears that Joey put into the site was remarkable.
We're in Spring Training and there hasn't been a post in 4 weeks so you know it's over. He would never this this happen after building such a huge following without good reasons.
Joey, you made those World Series seasons so much better and for that, I thank you. Peace Out.
