Forum > How to fix this site
A simpler fix would be for Ricky to quit posting on here.
Not that Eric
If you want to fix this site, shut it down. It went down hill after the all star break and now I'm at LSB full time.
The Pryor
I'm at LSB some... I'm here some... Clearly, you are here some, too... lol
This is still a good board just for discussion amongst ourselves and the fact we've finally come to the point the distractions are ignorable, it's getting better.
I'll hang.

If this is the end for BBTIA, I'll still tip my cap to Joey. It has been a spectacular site. Well done!

Joey doesn't care about you.

Do you just sit on your computer and wait for someone to post something so you can go and add one of your dumbass comments? I've noticed you're always quick to reply but I haven't read a single comment of yours that was an actual answer to a question or an opinion on a subject. You can go ahead and insult me and anyone else on here but I assure you everyone on this site thinks you're a moron and no one takes you seriously.

Am sad to see BBTIA slip away. Like many posters here, I've been a follower for a couple of years. Am gravitating towards LSB as articles, analysis and postings are adding more value. Whether Joey revives his site or not, its been a terrific ride and I commend him for the incredible diligence and hard work with this endeavor. And I commend the BBTIA community for likewise adding tremendous value in the forums and chat sessions. Special hat tips to the following: RFan, Andy, T-Ball, Eric Reining, Marktown, Nompton, ProfarMVP, The Henchmen, Mike G and others that don't come to mind immediately that offered unique thought and gave me some teaching moments on sabermetrics when applied to a player's skill level. I'll continue to check this site and hope Joey someday comes back, but as he said last year ... "enjoy it while it lasts because it won't last forever". A toast to Sherman Hemsley!!

I tweeted MJH yesterday and asked if BBTiA is dead.
He responded: "Joey is. But he'll come back to life like the vampire he is. We'll get things cranked up again this week."
To be honest, I was a big Jamey Newberg follower until I stumbled upon BBTiA last offseason. After seeing this site, I rarely peep in on Newberg's page (particularly because I follow him on Twitter, and find him to be an asshole). No disrespect to him though, I can't hate on the source of my Rangers' information from ca. 2003-2011.
Otherwise, LSB is decent, but it's not the same thing. Particularly the community; they seem more interested in responding with quick one-liners -- a lot like Halos Heaven.
BBTiA could die and I would still say it's the best Rangers' site in existence. But they'll be back. And all saying it's not worth and that leaving is the better choice will be back to read whatever it is Joey writes. Because Joey is the best writer in the world of Rangers' baseball.

Did Joey die?

Spot on Eric! Joey is a gifted writer and his resurrection will be welcome! Many thanks for the optimism. Note: kudos to Hindman as well.

This site just needs a moderated forum and maybe a site specific registration system.

I can't fathom why a classy fountain of Ranger information wouldn't cater to a rude know-it-all. Go figure.

I don't post here often, at all... but I come check it atleast once a day, and have for 2+ years. I'm not going to leave over a few trolls lol

Has nothing to do with him catering to me. It's more his snobbishness to the fans he responds to.

I could use some baseball.

Yeah, sure, whatever you say. Jamey has more fan following than most, his fans appreciate all he does, and we know your criticism of him is reflecting some perceived slight to your own over-inflated ego. But you aren't worthy to lick his boots, so get over yourself..

A little strong, don't you think? Especially with such a presumptive statement as "... and we know your criticism of him is reflecting some perceived slight to your own over-inflated ego." Simply not true.
I'm beginning to think your railing against me has to do with some perceived slight. What have I ever done to hurt your little baby feelings?
I'm allowed to like or dislike anyone as I please, just as you are. I've never contacted Newberg before, so I have no reason to dislike him on a personal level. All I go by is what I see. And as I said, I don't hate the man, because I acknowledged how much I've learned from him.
You kinda just seem like you are unnecessarily grasping for a fight to pick.

Ok, enough already. Joey and the rest of the lineup here have been providing us with legitimate rangers coverage for years and after four weeks of silence, half of the visitors are going nuts complaining about the lack of content. We all know Joey's situation, and I think that warrants a little more respect than what is being shown here. While this site may be his passion, it is not his career. I've got news for some of you...the real world sucks, and as you get older you have more responsibilities with family, work, etc. There was a time when i got to watch over 130 games a year. Now i am lucky if I get to watch 60 games on tv and listen to 50 on the radio. I pretty much fill in the gaps by reading this website, and I am thankful for all that I have gotten out of it over the years. I also had a great time playing in the fantasy league last year with marktown, jared, stefan, etc., and hope that enough are interested this year again.
On a side note, I enjoy reading eric reining's posts. I don't always agree with the guy, but at least he has an opinion on Ranger's related issues and is not just talking crap about different people constantly. And the "special agent ricky" posts and NTE's posts make me laugh, especially after a few beers. The season is right around the corner, and I suspect that Joey will be back soon enough with more than enough content to feed the masses. Personally, I can't wait for the season to start so we can all forget about last year.

Well, it's EASY to read the good post with meat here and even easier to skip over the cereal.
Thanks guys for trying and not reverting to answer/comment on the trolling. Patience guys, patience.
Go Rangers!
