You know, I saw that on MLBrumors, and although I think he'd be a solid bench guy, I kinda don't see the point unless the plan is to hold Profar at AAA the entire season. But if the guy only plays SS and 2nd, we still need a Utility man that can play the 3rd. Berkman can spell 1, Theroit could spell 2 and SS, but then what, have Olt ride pine just to spell Beltre once in a while?

I would prefer a UTIF that could play 2,SS, 3, and maybe the COF spots, too.

Kinsler can play 3rd

Kinsler isn't going to play 3rd. Theriot would play up the middle, and Snyder would cover the 4 corners. Though, admittedly, barring injury I'm not expecting Adrian Beltre to sit out more than 12-15 games next year. To me, assuming my scenario, I think Snyder only gets 5 or so starts before Mike Olt comes up to cover the 4 corners role, though I don't want to see him in the outfield at all.

Somehow I didn't realize Brandon syder still existed on our team... So yeah, if the plan is to keep Profar down, Theroit makes a lot of sense.

Snyder was re-signed at the end of December / start of January time frame. So, yeah... IF Wash would ever keep him ready to play... he could play the 4C...
