@ lwayne.
Yes. Anyone remember the major hype on Joaquin Arias?
How excited I was. I fell for it BIG too.

If you guys are going to complain about prospects not panning out, you should do your homework before anointing them the 2nd coming based off name recognition. According to Baseball America, Joaquin Arias was on a top-100 list one time, in 2005, where he was ranked 77th in the game. Sure, it's nice to have guys on these lists, but a #77 prospect leaves a lot of room for disappointment, which Arias was in Texas. Didi Gregorius has never been on BA's list, and he's a fringy top-100 guy heading into 2013.

Basically, like Arias, he's a second division SS. Not in the class of Andrus. Certainly not in the class of Profar.

Yes, but Arias has achieved the ultimate success in Major League Baseball. He is now proudly wearing, actually will be wearing, a WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP RING. Check, but I can not recall any current Ranger who can make that statement. But what does hurt the most, the Yankees made a list of prospects to which the Rangers could have chosen. The Rangers did not go with the best bat because he was a second baseman. The Rangers had just traded their starting shortstop to the Yankees, and wanted a short stop back in return. So they turned down ROBINSON CANO.

Jesus, Arias got a WS ring for being a backup infielder. AWESOME. Are you also going to give him added brownie points for nearly botching the final play in Matt Cain's perfect game?

Check, but I can not recall any current Ranger who can make that statement.

A.J. Pierzynski ... Lance Berkman.

And neither one has even one at bat with the Rangers and acquired for 2013, future games.. May explain why they want them, although the RANGERS HAVE COME CLOSE, may even go down as the closest any team has gotten, yet not end up with a Ring.

This post has run its course don't you think?

I was just addressing the whole "current Rangers" thing.

MLBTR says D-backs refused trade of Olt, Leury Garcia, Buckle or Perez, and a 4th prospect. That seems like a pretty big haul for the D-backs to turn down. Towers must really want a shortstop.

I wish we could move on from Justin Upton.
