Forum > Ticket Prices Raised

I'm not here to complain about the ticket prices, because in the end it will still be my decision to attend games just like each and every one of you have the decision to attend or not, but in light of the recent spike in ticket prices once again, I was wondering what exactly is done with the funds that are collected at the gates? I realize there have been a good number of renovation projects each year so I realize the ticket prices will fund that and I also realize that there is more of a demand of tickets now that the team is successful. I was also wondering how many of you are season ticket holders and how many games a year each of you go to? I personally only get to go to 4-5 a year because of travel time, but I make as many as I can. And here are the new prices just in case anyone was wondering.

Mo' money mo' problems.

All things considered, the Rangers are a pretty good value for what you get compared to other entertainment venues.

They jacked up the All You Can eat seats a good 10$...awesome. That's always my favorite spot to sit, but it will be tough to fork out 100$ just to sit there for 2 people. 100$ got me two lower infield tickets for the ALCS in 2010. But hey I guess this just comes with part of being a successful team.

Our family vacation each year has been 5 people flying down to Texas to attend 2-3 games. Last year we switched it to driving to KC for their games there instead. Tickets alone obviously not the reason, but costs overall were. They can afford to charge whatever they want if demand is still there. KC used to be a tremendous value but has skyrocketed their tickets as well. Its all of baseball. If you raise prices AND attendance increases then you're probably doing ok.
