What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
I think he just throws shit against the wall. I'm tired of him linking the Rangers to Lohse & Bourn, just b/c we're the Rangers and they're available. Pretty sure I could be a baseball insider. Can we just get to spring training already. I'm burnt out on the MLB offseason!
Mike Hindman already skewed a bad journalist today.
Apologies. I hadn't seen the main paige. I usually only check it once a week. Usually just click straight to the forum. It's frustrating reading and listening to pure unfounded speculation. We're the people that are supposed to do that. That's what the forums are....and it's just wearing thin.
It's times like this when it must be nice to be a Rays/A's fan. No one links you to anyone.
Their forums must be filled with excellent trade proposals.
Jon Heyman is the most interesting man in the world.
T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reported "Rangers haven't ruled out adding Bourn, Lohse", . and reflects closer Ranger plans and focus, him being a liaison between the Rangers FO and MLB.com and thus general public. The question then becomes is this just planted disinformation, a realistic focus based on needs and salary room, or just the proverbially 'due diligence'. The Rangers have stated, and have stuck to the Plan not to sign anyone long term [ greater then 3 years] unless exceptional [like the pursuit of Grienke but not really Josh]. Boras is pushing for his clients for a Grienke/ Hamilton like deal. The Rangers have also made it clear from the FO, that they do not want to lose a draft choice and slot money over a short term free agent signing. This seems to be a dichotomy of plans in perspective of signing either. The reality then favors the first view. If so what would this course favor? A sidebar, Boras has already tried to get both Bourn and Lohse signed to their 2012 teams, so far unsuccessful. So a final deal for either may prove much more lucrative to the signing team. I think this rational drives these recent articles on the Rangers' interests.
Heh! And, Rafael Soriano is another of his potential "Great Busts". Maybe Boras didn't count on the impact of losing that Draft Pick (along with its allocated slot money). But, it appears that is turning out to be a REALLY BIG thing.
