What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Hey guys, occasionally I use BBTiA as my platform for promoting an article here and there when I have a HSO. As you know, Baseball Time in Arlington has been my gateway drug of sorts over the last year, as this is the predominant place where we learn new baseball concepts and construct opinions based on abstract data we learn from Joey, MJH, Scooby, t_ball, RFan, etc. This is, in my opinion, the best community on the Internet.
However, away from the strange hours of the night when I'm not dealing cards, I typically try to produce roughly an article a day on the site I edit, nolanwritin.com. You may be familiar with the makeshift production methods the Fansided Network operates with, but hey, I tend to think I have my own thing going on my site. Anyway.
I have a need for a writer, or two, depending on the turnout I get on here. All you'll be asked to generate is an article a week, or more, if you choose so. It's a very basic deal. However, like BBTiA, I've been trying to make it a more advanced-thinking site, so if you're familiar with WAR, that's the preference I have.
Regardless, I thought I would broach the subject on here, because I respect the depth of many of the posters. I'd rather see if anyone on here was interested before I got stuck with Joe Shmoe writer that they provided me with.
Anyway, if you're interested, you can email me via email@example.com, then we can move from there.
I appreciate anyone interested. Thank you.
This isn't a competition... Atleast I don't think Joey sees it that way. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Although opionated Eric is usually level headed and thoroughly statistical, more than I can say for LSB or the local beats. Eric my advice would be: stop watering down your ideas and theories. It's almost like apologizing before you open your mouth, eventually no one will listen. Say what you mean and mean what you say, readers will love you or hate you either way they are reading. Do your thing....
Koudos, eric. Opinions are valued, but trolls are internally miserable and need to spread thier angst.Trolls, curiously said critics.
What is a 'koudo'?
"Say what you mean and mean what you say, readers will love you or hate you either way they are reading."
Good advice for a lot of things, not just writing.
Btw, the Andy that posted at 9:17 isn't me, even though that sounds like a post I'd make.
Never mind, that was me. I was on the phone with Eric and I forgot.
Is not "koudos" the Greek variant of "kudos?"
I thought he meant "Kodos, eric", and was talking to eric and one of the aliens from The Simpsons.
aol address? is this 1995?
Seriously, the best use of your time is trolling a baseball fan forum with a reasonably small audience? I pity you.
J, you're such an obvious troll it's ridiculous. And one with a very low baseball iq at that. It's pathetic really.
Takes courage to drop a bomb on someone and use an alias no one knows... lol
Not sure I could live with myself if I were always afraid to let folks know what this "me" is thinkin'.
I'd volunteer. Maybe, if "J" is the kind of intellect "J" thinks "J" is, "J" could volunteer as well and enlighten us so that we're not lost and reading "less than Evan Grant" stuff. We could use what "J" has to offer.
C'mon, "J". I couldn't spell WAR let alone debate it.
lol / rofl
I read this site religiously but due to work don't get to post very often (although I love jumping in the in-game chats). Reading the forum, I scroll through most of the comments but stop down to read every single one written by Eric (and Andy as well). Some of the most knowledgeable and insightful writers here. Thanks guys.
1st Time Reader,
There isn't any problem if Joey allows it, and he obviously does, so shove it.
Nothing wrong with this imo .. Eric isn't promoting his site just asking if anyone else wants to have a chance to write.
Eric is promoting his site. And, he has in the past.
But, it's not spam. His site is related to the same topic as this one. LoneStarBall.Com is also mentioned on this site as is Jamey's incredible NewbergReport.Com and T.R. Sullivan's Post Cards from Elysian Fields.
That kid, Grant Schiller's blog is also an interesting read.
If you can point me to something new talking about my Rangers? It ain't spam.
Thanks guys. We had a (surprisingly?) nice turnout. The reason I post links to my pages has mainly been due to the fact that Joey has been (particularly over the last 5-6 months) more busy with his Masters Degree. I typically preface anything I write on here with the caveat that, if Joey does not want me doing this, he has complete autonomy in deleting my forum threads.
Thus far, he hasn't, and I appreciate that from him.
Also, my postings on here are in no way directed at taking any traffic away from BBTiA, and, if people actually did stop visiting BBTiA for my measly page, I feel sorry for them. After all, to click on my links in the forum one first must be on BBTiA to start out with.
Anyway, again, I'm grateful for the half dozen or so of you that inquired. It's going to make this transition a lot easier for me.
Thank you again.
