Why would you offer Olt for Ethier? In fact, why would you want Ethier at all? Have you checked out his platoon splits? He can't hit lefties at all any more.

Let's see, the Rangers could pick up Ethier, and I would assume, probably pay about 2/3 of his salary, or about $10m/yr. Or, they could sign, oh, say, Cody Ross, who will probably cost substantially less than that, and for fewer years, and get almost as good a guy. They could use what's left over to pay for most of what A.J. will want.
