Let's keep all of them till they no longer have any value. M. Perez value is less than one half what it was 1-2 yrs ago. Sure glad we didnt put him in a trade. Anybody remember D-V-D???

Let's trade them all for #3 pitchers like Shields and Dickey!

Neither Shields nor Dickey are #3's.

I remember DVD. I wish we still had one of the D's(Danks). Volquez would not be so bad either is was not for the injuries. Only Diamond truly never panned out. Maybe should hold onto Perez. Thank you for talking me into that.

Seventy8
They're definitely not #1's.

Hell let's just rebuild and aim for 2018. M Perez hopefully will be ready by then. It's obvious he is way too talented to trade.

I get it... every prospect sucks and never has any value... kinsler stinks, elvis stinks, feliz stinks, cruz stinks, holland stinks, harrison stinks.... gentry stinks...... ogando stinks....

This is clear undeniable evidence that prospects never amount to anything....

No-but your post sucks.

sorry my bad... i forgot that moreland and robbie ross were also home grown talent.. the bottom line really is that Daniels and Ryan and the rest of the FO has earned a lot of street credibility...

The rangers have been to the playoffs 3 years running... been to the world series twice.... have built one of the best farm systems in baseball and maintained financial flexibility....

Every move isn't going to work out... some are going to outright stink... but overall this organization continues to head in the right direction.... this franchise will be competitive for years to come...

@romeo
Not sure why you would say they aren't #1's. Dickey just won Cy Young. They are both among the top 30 starting pitchers in the game the last few years. They may not be Verlander or Kershaw, but they are certainly worthy of being closer to #1 status than #3 status.

A #1 is worthy of a package consisting of Wil Myers. James Shields is not that guy. R.A. Dickey is going from a pitcher's park in the NL to the AL East. There will be no more pitchers batting in the 9-hole, but rather, a DH inhabiting the lineup every time through.
