Other than napoli hitting the angels. What were his numbers after the angels?!?!?

If the deal with Bost on fell through would Napoli cost the Rangers a draft pick?

I don't think player decisions should be based on nostalgia. Napoli had a tremendous 1/2 a season. AJP is better than Napoli at this time.

I do not see any of the remaining FA except possibly La Roche as being worth the draft. But I only sign him if he is willing to come for two years. He is 2 years older than Hamilton so 3 years of La Roche = 5 years for Hamilton in terms of age.

Texas did not offer Napoli arbitration, so it will not cost any team a draft pick to sign him. If Texas did offer arb and he turned it down, since Napoli was with Texas last year, if Texas resigns him, it does not cost the Rangers anything.

I get what you are saying about LaRoche and Hamilton in terms of ages, but do you really want to give up a high draft choice for a 3 year deal for a first baseman that may not have the same career numbers in 2013 as he did in 2012? 3 years of control of a good not great player that does not give us a significant boost to what we currently have in Moreland verses a high draft choice...give me Moreland and the draft pick.

Sox talking to LaRoche and Napoli is in discussions with "another team" according to WEEI... could be leverage both ways. But I would be happy to keep the Dirtbag. We could probably trade Soto to the Yankees who are even more desperate for catching than we are but are suddenly pinching pennies.

I'd like Napoli at 2/20 or less or even better a 1 year with an easy option. I'm thinking more of a DH/1b right now as opposed to catcher. Catcher with hip problems don't tend to stay catchers.

And as for LaRoche I'd say pass on him because of the age, the contract demands and the draft implications.

Take a six inch nail & pound it into the side of your butt, That's what it feels like.
Some of you want him back, even with a hip condition? OIC, it's the stats that perk!
Yes, all is well in cartoonland.

@The_Henchmen: don't forget Kinsler/Profar at 2B, Elvis/Profar at SS, Kinsler at 1B and COF, Olt at 3B, Gentry/Martin in CF, and maybe even more! If there were ever a year where Wash could play Maddon chairs with his players, it's this year!

I LOVE Napoli and really wanted him back. But we got AJP. We are full at C, overloaded with "3" 1B including Ian, and Moreland/Olt/Cruz at DH depending on lineup. So I just cant see him fitting in. But I wish him all the best.
