Should we trade prospects to Cleveland for Cabrera and then trade Elvis to Arizona for Upton? Both Cabrera and Upton are under contract through 2014. Elvis is a Boris client, so he is going to walk! I think I would! What do you think?

Cabrera is a switch hitter and an ok defensive shortstop. And Upton. I might be intrigued.

Yes I'm a fan, so I'm biased, but I really think he's the new face of the franchise moving forward, and I think it's pretty obvious that the Rangers have the money to re-sign Elvis when he comes up, so everybody can drop the "He's a Boras client so he's gone in 2 years bit", because it's not an inevitability.

I can't fathom a scenario in which I'd prefer Asdrubal to Elvis.
