What about Tyler Moore. From just a quick glance, if the Nats resign LaRoche, he will be behind both Morse and LaRoche at first base. He offers premier power, and his cursory numbers don't look to shabby either. Probably wouldnt take a lot to get him. He is also really young. What do you guys think?

Half a year is a pretty small sample size, but he looks somewhat promising based on that plus his minor stats. As a projected heavy hitter, I'd like to see him walk a little more. Good ISO. But his defense being lackluster this early in his career, at 1B no less, isn't particularly exciting to me.

Chances are, though, Morse could be had for substantially less, as they might still be high on this kid. I have no idea how deep we could be at 1B, because between Young and Face we've had no reason to call anyone up except Olt, and he didn't play much, at 1B or elsewhere. But Morse or LaRoche may suffice for a year or three, if we can get them.

But I'm sure J.D. and his brain trust are looking into this kid. If we're aware of it, they probably are too. Never know when we're going to find the next Napoli.

I believe it's *LaRoche, that's swinging n the wind for true availibility.
Mets seem as if they want to trade *R.A. Dickey, rather than a keeper.
There's two dark horses, for this weekends trade shuffle.

@HubZ

LaRoche can't be traded... he's a free agent. He wants a 3-year deal and hasn't gotten it yet from the Nats. That's where the Rangers step in (I hope).

And I'm not giving up anything great for Dickey. I can see why the Mets are looking to sell high but does anyone really think he can come close to winning 20 in the AL?

Sure, I know LaRoche is a FA. Most think he'll stay w/DC.
I think Tradng places for him, helps in the long run.
DC's slow walkng thier efforts on whom they want @ 1B.
If at all, LaRoche a 1yr. Rangers could steal him w/a two.
His glove is great and his bat fits the Temple.
Dickey's stuff is nasty. Real NAAAASTY.
