BP describes how the Giants were among the first to bring Silicon Valley technology to MLB and its fans. It describes three new tracking systems: one tracks and measures the speed, spin, and arc of the pitch, another the batted ball, and a third measures the relationship of the pitch's outcome to the catcher's target. A single game generates more than a terabyte of data.
