Forum > The Oriole's luck is running out

They just gave up their first walk off loss of the year. Now they have to win back to back games in Yankee stadium or their ridiculously unsustainable year of barely scraping by will be complete. It's a shame their luck didn't end a few nights ago, but they and the A's both seem to be out of luck. I doubt that makes any of you feel better though.

Nope they had good years and we didnt. But they both have bright futures as do we. Orioles have Dylan Bundy coming up and A's are going to have a full season of Griffin, Anderson, Parker, Milone. So we'll see if this was really "luck."

Agree Aaron ...luck? The A's have pitching and that always gets you wins. Cespedes is the real deal, Reddick is both a great glove and power, and they have a bunch of scrapers. The O's have some young stars...Machado, Bundy, looks like Davis finally found it....Jones. I wouldn't say luck....both those team just produce and got it done.

There is always luck involved in sports. You cannot ever control every outcome. You just keep your head down and keep playing and sometimes the breaks go your way. Sometimes they do not. Both the A's and the O's seem to have been getting a A LOT of breaks go their way this year. Texas had them the last two years. As I type this the A's have just tied up the game in the bottom of the 9th. You cannot tell me it's all skill and will. Good fortune comes into play.

It doesn't look like luck has run out for the A's!

Still hoping Detroit wins though.

That comeback was insane. I can't help but think of how overblown the narrative would be for a Yankees A's ALCS.

Cespedes is the real deal...
He certainly is. Really kind of makes me wonder how the Rangers missed out on him. He is far superior to Leyonis in pretty much every facet of the game.

I'm pretty sure it came down to the money he wanted. I know it doesn't look like much now, but, given the amount of money we had already invested in 2012, it was a risk the FO wasn't willing to take.

Plus, I don't really understand the talk on here like Leonys Martin is a complete bust. He's very affordable, and should get his first crack at consistent playing time in 2013. He should be all right.

Apart from defense, that is
