Wow--an MVP who leads his team to 3rd place.

Alex Rodriguez led the 2003 Texas Rangers to a 4th place finish in the AL West, winning the American League MVP with 47 Home Runs, 118 RBI's, and .298 BA also an 8.1 bWAR.

So does it happen a lot? No, but in the past 10 years that is a solid example.

Also Albert Pujols in 2008 led St. Louis to a 4th place finish in the NL Central. Won the National League MVP. That was a mere 4 years ago.

I think it's new school vs old school. Miggy will probably win, but I won't be surprised if it is Trout. Although I couldn't care less who wins the MVP because both those guys aren't named Adrian Beltre.

Yeah, it's more impressive to play in the worst division in baseball and finish with a worse record than a 3rd place team. By your logic, let's just give the MVP award to Josh Reddick, or Derek Jeter, since, you know, their teams won their division and everything.

And another thing I don't think you own this site. Get over yourself. Most of us have forgotten more than you WILL EVER KNOW. But seriously this LICKFEST about Trout is embarrassing.
