What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
On July 23rd, 2012 Tom Grieve announced the official death of #cookietalk to the Ranger Nation. At the end of that day, the Rangers sat comfortably at 57-38 (.600), with a nice 6 game lead over the Oakland Athletics.
Since that day, the Rangers barely performed over .500 (36-32), suffered an epic september collapse, lost the division to the lowly A's, and were eliminated entirely from the postseason after one game.
Coincidence?! I think not.
The only question now is who was responsible for bringing this wretched curse upon us. Was it Eula Mae in Bedford? Was it Henrietta in Wilmer? Or was the pox laid upon us by TAG himself, in an effort to teach Ranger Fandom a lesson for bringing about the demise of cookie talk?
The world may never know. Let's just hope we can break the curse quicker than the Sox could break the curse of the Bambino.
Heck yes I'd be willing to sit through cookie talk if it meant a division championship.
I never understood all the whining and moaning here and other places about mentioning the cookies.
