For putting Profar in there and not earlier.

For starting Gentry tonight and not earlier.

For putting Nathan in a non-save situation where you know he sucks.

For everything you did and didn't do this season.

I'm tired of looking at the other dugout and knowing their guy is better. Way better.

1. When Profar played he batted less than .200, his time is next year
2. Murphy was playing better than Gentry. Why would he play Gentry instead of Murphy?
3. No argument there
4. Wash isn't the reason this team collapsed even though he does have managing mistakes
5. He'll be back next year, but I won't say the same thing about Josh

That profar hit solidified wash's stupidity, that one game in the middle of the season really did have an effect, while everyone was content to be in first place, down the stretch when things really mattered and wheels were falling off, everyone was content, no changes had to be made, well get ready for a shake up, not asking for a ws tittle but a 1 and out is a damn shame for this much talent.

If he wasn't so fucking stubborn, this would have been Oakland playing the Os instead of us. But no. Youngs players apparently can't play baseball, and veterans get infinite time to work out thier problems.

Well guess what, Wash. WE ARE OUT OF TIME NOW!

@ B F

That is easily the dumbest post I've read this month.

Hey BF, leave that shit out of the discussion. Piss off.

Where was Esteban German to plug into the lineup when we needed him most?

lol If that is the only defense you can come up for him, why even bother posting it?

For all of you Wash apologists, what on earth is it that he brings to the table now? What does he do to get the most out of this team now? Not 2010, not 2011. Now. Or do you base this all on loyalty? Loyalty to Wash and his loyalty to older players at the expense of developing younger players? Noble trait, except when it comes to pro sports. What sports dynasties were built on loyalty? Yankees? No. 1970s and early 1990s Cowboys? No. Lakers/Spurs? No. All of those teams had substantial turnover and were not afraid to churn the roster when players' skills started diminishing.

This team won't have the same talent and same strong farm system forever - how many of those years are you apologists willing to waste on a manager that gave the second worst player in the league 150 games, that consistently makes horrible in game decisions, treats younger players like shit thus stunting their development, and that clearly lost the ability to get his team to play hard for him?

I just don't get the continued support of this guy. What does he bring NOW?

Fuck Warsh the idiot. Fuck him, his coke habit, and his shitty decisions. Fire that motherfucking loser!

I was never in the "Fire Wash" camp. Until now. And to me, the most infuriating decision he made was sitting Murph tonight. I know a lefty was starting. But which playoff team sits their 2nd best hitter (average wise) in a win-or-go-home game? I don't get it. Holland out of the bullpen was also fucking horrible.

October 5, 2012 at 11:59 PM | Unregistered CommenterKDog

I'd also like to take this opportunity to mock all the loser Warsh backers that mocked Buck Showalter, and claimed Warsh the idiot was a better manager. I love it when you racists crying losers are proved dead wrong.

Yes, I'm sorry.

Gee golly Mr. Washington. I sure am confused and have a funny feeling in my tummy-tum.

I guess you're right about that Profar guy. He's just a rookie--and we all know that rookies can't play, no matter what those skippy little wonderkids from Oakland did. They'll come crashing down soon! Little JP probably wouldn't have gotten any better if he had played more earlier this year. How silly I was for thinking that.

And of course we could put Gentry on the field! David Murphy was playing well, so that completely rules out getting Gentry in the lineup. Unless of course we played them both at the same time! But that's just silly. I mean, we couldn't have worked him in against lefties and had Josh DH a little or anything. Or maybe Nellie DH. They're both probably better outfielders than Gentry anyway, right? I don't know much about these statistics, but you've probably looked that up already.

And you're so right about that collapse. How silly of me to think any blame should fall on Wash! After all, he doesn't play the field, right! All he does is put the lineup out there, make in game decisions, substitutions, and communicate ongoing. How could he have any blame at all for this? He did a great job staring blankly out into LF. I don't know much about baseball managing, but if staring into left field is part of it, Wash was AWESOME!

And awesomely bold prediction on Josh being gone next year and Wash being back. It takes guts to go out on a limb like that and I applaud you sir!

Now, let's all do some serious blow this offseason. Anyone know where I can score some? Wash?

Whatever.

@Kdog: you got it. those two decisions were disastrous.

in this particular game, the offense needed some spark more than anything else. in light of that, sitting murphy is the opposite of what any rational person would do, regardless of whether you're facing a lefty or righty. and yes, soto calls a good game it seems, but he still sucked this year--can't throw him out there tonight when you need offense.

I like wash but you missed the worse move of the night. Pulling Darvish (who was dealing) with 91 pitches, in order to bring in Holland to one of the highest leverage spots of the entire game. The same Holland who has been erratic all season and who failed to get the huge third out Wednesday before the game was tied, and also couldn't get the third out in his last start against the Angels (gave up a 3 run hr and had to be pulled). That was a terrible move. If Wash HAD to have the Lefty-Lefty matchup, he should have at least brought Ross in.

October 6, 2012 at 12:53 AM | Unregistered CommenterRangersBu87

said it after the All-Star break...Wash is an awful in-game manager and doesn"t properly use his bench players...this team was gassed.Wash had MANY opportunities to sit his regulars and get the younger guys some experience. His many poor decisions concerning game management and sticking with guys that
were floundering, finally caught up to this team.I for one hope that JD and Nolan finally see Wash for what he is.....a good guy,a fun guy,a guy the players like and respect,a guy that players are no longer hearing anymore....the shine is no longer on this apple, and for this team to move forward....some pruning must be done....Young,Wash,Hamilton and Oswalt would be be the first guys to go....would there be others? MAYBE....do you REALLY want to play here and what's the cost? This is a unique opportunity for JD to remake this team very quickly and effectively.I hope he doesn't pass up this chance...

David Murphy has one of the highest BAs against handed pitching in this league. Using a left handed starter as an argument to bench him is fucking stupid.

And Holland for the lefty-lefty when you have Ross and Harrison...?

Yeah... Genius!

The worst thing about the rangers this year is that they seemed to play without any accountability and thats all on Wash. How can anyone take their boss seriously when he/she continually sucks at making decisions and protects/awards under performing workers?

I feel that Wash has taken this team as far as he can, you can't fire him just yet unfortunately, its gonna take this team to 100% quit on him and therefore waste another season. But it will happen.
