Darvish vs Saunders

Then we will beat the Yankees

October 3, 2012 at 7:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterGod

You are not God and we will not beat the Os.

You are not CJ, and we will find out Friday.

October 3, 2012 at 7:48 PM | Unregistered CommenterRevsader

We are not anything in this endless expansion of space, and we will all perish eventually, right God?

October 3, 2012 at 8:16 PM | Unregistered CommenterMike G.

Rangers East will be victorious Friday. The Rangers have died physically, mentally and competetively.

Yu is fine and Saunders sucks

But remember guys, we have a MASTER MOTIVATOR as a manager!!!

Is it wrong for me to kinda not WANT to win?

October 3, 2012 at 9:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterRangerbourne

Uhhh, yeah it's wrong if you don't want to win. Regardless of all of the extraneous bullshit, we should still want them to win.

I honestly don't think we win Friday. We had 3 chances to get 1 game from the A's and went 0-3. What makes anyone think we will go 1-1 against the O's? I haven't seen anything in the past two weeks, especially the last two series, that makes me think this team is capable of winning a must win game.

October 3, 2012 at 9:41 PM | Unregistered Commentercedar_tree

O's have not seen Darvish. I like those odds.

October 3, 2012 at 9:56 PM | Unregistered CommenterRevsader

Odds have been in our favor before. Rarely seems to pan out. On paper we win Friday's game. But on paper we also should have beat the A's Tuesday night hands down.

October 3, 2012 at 9:58 PM | Unregistered Commentercedar_tree

Darvish better pitch a shutout b/c the offense sure isn't going to do anything. Some of these guys gave up a long time ago. We know Darvish isn't one of them.

October 3, 2012 at 10:02 PM | Unregistered CommenterAdamEaton

Darvish, Beltre, Nathan (well and most of the bullpen that was on the opening day roster not named Feldman) are about the only ones I feel giving 100%. Maybe Elvis too. I'd include Gentry but I'm talking about players who get their due playing time.

October 3, 2012 at 10:06 PM | Unregistered Commentercedar_tree

I would argue they were more tired and in need of a break from the daily grind than "gave up."

October 3, 2012 at 10:11 PM | Unregistered CommenterRevsader

I just don't see any emotion in them. It is all talk and no action. Get a little fired up that you K with runners on and less than 2 outs. Act like booting the ball all over the field is an issue. They need to stop talking and start doing.

If I hear "We know what needs to happen" one more time from someone employed by the Texas Rangers organization... I'll... I'll... probably send them a nasty letter

Is anybody, anything? And what is destiny? Is the third time really a charm?

Find out, Through the Wormhole Friday at BPiA. Anybody know how I would go about getting tickets? And so help me, if anybody starts the wave Friday night I will personally see that you are killed and I will not be there to narrate your death.

I think we should win. But idk if we are going to win. The Orioles are playing with a lot of fun while we will be playing with a lot of pressure but I trust in Yu Darvish and the offense is a lot better at home and no pitcher scares me from the Orioles staff like the pitchers in Oakland. Can Friday come any sooner?

October 3, 2012 at 10:41 PM | Unregistered CommenterAaron M.

Yeah, I agree. Ranger players have no emotion at all. They have alteady given up. They don't want to win. They're just going through the motions. Anytime professional athletes play bad, it's because they don't care.

Selfish athletes. If only they cared as much as us loyal fans. Then they'd win the world series. If they just had the heart that us measly little peasant BBTIA readers had, they could beat those scrappy A's and win it all. Oh, if only they cared.

They just have no heart. Probably terrible chemistry as a result. Ugh, they shouldn't even show up Friday bc the season is over.

October 3, 2012 at 11:21 PM | Unregistered CommenterCrow

There is a reason they are called 'careless mistakes'. Because the committer simply doesn't care. I believe we saw the definition of that with Mr. Hamilton today.

"Selfish athletes. If only they cared as much as us loyal fans"..."They just have no heart. Probably terrible chemistry as a result."

@Crow: Even in your sarcasm, you just described Josh Hamilton and his effect on the team for the last few months to a T.

Thanks for reinforcing my point.

October 3, 2012 at 11:34 PM | Unregistered CommenterAdamEaton

No AdamEaton, I most certainly did not. You're claim that Hamilton, or any others don't care, is a complete fallacy. Mind-f*****, maybe. But, even that would be plain conjecture.

My post last night was admittedly drunken and bitter, however, I stand by the basic point of it. On a more related note to the actual forum title, I think we get the win Friday w Darvish on the hill at home in Arlington. A day off will do this team good.

October 4, 2012 at 8:33 AM | Unregistered CommenterCrow

We will win Friday and everything will be copacetic. We will go back to simply bashing MY, ripping Wash, and everyone will carry on as normal as we move on to the Yankees. Please tell me I'm right.

Vegas had Rangers -200, moved to -185.

October 4, 2012 at 11:44 PM | Unregistered CommenterGod

Per Dan Patrick Vegas also had the A's at 100-1 to win division at AS break. Tomorrow is the definition of small sample size, let's do it!
