Forum > There's No Whining in Baseball
I didn't think there was whining in baseball either till about 1 hour ago.

I second this motion.

Yeah nevermind that the fact that it's an epic fail to be in this position in the first place considering the talent on the roster and the lead they had to work with. Go Rangers!!

There are trolls on here the last month or so. Some of these folks never posted until a few weeks ago.

At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself if you're a fan of the team or just really like the team. If you're a fan, you'll be here tomorrow, the next day, the next week, the next month, etc. If you just like the team, you can cut your losses now. The Texas Rangers are my team, they didnt have to be great during the 20+ years for me to stay a fan, and they dont have to be great now. Of course it sucks that it looks like they wont achieve what most of us here want them to achieve. But they are MY team, and I stand with them, through all the heartache and all the triumph.

I have serious BBTIA forum nostalgia. Definitely missing the intelligent discussions that took place during the offseason and through August. These irrational, emotional rants are better suited for other sites.
As a Ranger fan, that is also a huge fan of the game of baseball overall, it's frustrating to hear these "epic collapse" tirades and ignorant name calling of players and coaches.

Aidic is absolutely right. I have noticed in all the various blogs the johnny come lately's and band wagoners that only jumped on after the 2010 season that seem to think they know everything about baseball and about the Rangers. They are I believe, frustrated Cowboy fans, or worse, transplanted yankees that think they always know more than anybody else. They don't want the wave at the ballfield, they don't like the cookie thank you's and the anniversary and birthday announcements, the things that helped REAL Ranger fans for years keep coming back year after year during the dark times....GET OVER IT ALREADY!! If you are a real fan you will quit back seat managing and just enjoy the games. Also, I will always defend MY. He is a class act and has been the backbone of this team for years. Alot of fools want to just bench him or get rid of him. REALLY PEOPLE!!! What about Cruz dropping the last out in game 6 last year, or his drought at the plate this year and his sloppy fielding...what about Kinsler, the pop-up king who has been not only bad at the plate for most of the year, but leads the majors in errors. Yeah, MY has not had the kind of year he nor we are used to, however, neither has most of this team!

I have only recently found this site and am comforted to know it's not like this 100% of the time. I was excited to find it and then immediately disheartened to see how many whiners and morning-after-coaches (who know the way to the WS no less!)there were. After the game is over, there are ALWAYS things you could have/should have done differently. "I'd rather have had Oswalt than Perez." Except that if you get Oswalt and he gives up a tater on the first pitch (again) and fails to make it out of the 2nd inning you get to bemoan that, too. "Should've started with Scooter!" Congrats! You've found a way to get the worst out of every game you watch.
Watch, root, relax, enjoy that we've made yet again this far and realize we're not yet dead.
Watch, stress, yell, and 'be right' tomorrow when you would've called it different and better. Oh! And be sure to come back here and remind us all how you called it 3 months ago.

I've been a Rangers fan since Pete O'Brien, Inky, Charlie Hough, Geno Petralli, Ruben Sierra, Oddibe McDowell, Scooter Fletcher, Steve BOOOOOOOchele, on through Pudge, Rick Helling, Nolan, Pavlik, Jeff Russell, you name it.
I've seen good and bad, and most of it bad.
I still hated cookie talk.

Gotta tell ya-there seems to be a lot of frontrunning 'fans' here. Some of the things posted are just downright ignorant. Stop whining and cheer for your team tomorrow. GROW UP!
