I Would love to see them sweep the next 2 series and roll into the playoffs on a high note. But if they don't and fumble their way into an early playoff exit I will still love this team. Gotta agree with liver here. In fact, I'm a little shocked that Eric, who seems to pride himself on being even-keeled and rational, would come down on the side of such a indefensibly rude person as a reasoned opinion. He's not "100% right." He's called me out twice for saying things that apparently offended him so deeply that he felt compelled to call me me an idiot, fucking stupid, an asshole, a spoiled brat, and more. I asked him to link me to the comments that offended him, but he disappeared.

So I found the comments he's referring to, and they were left by someone else entirely. All that venom was spewed at me for something I never said, while at the same time he's imploring this site to return to good natured banter. Are you KIDDING ME? Even if I had said what he said I said, it wouldn't justify his remarks. People are entitled to express their opinions without being blasted. It's the height of irony that the ugliest people on this forum are the ones offended by negativity regarding the Rangers. "Stop being so negative about this team! Die, you goddamn moron asshole shitface!" Well, gee, when you put it that way...

But by all means, let's continue to be ugly to each other over something we all love, right up to the point when Joey gets sick of our shit and shuts the forums down altogether.

A real fan doesn't hate his team when play .500 ball for a small stretch. Bandwagoners do. You might check out the nationals, they have a pretty good record.
