Forum > Jean-Jacques Taylor: More Blowhardy Than Evan Grant

http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/texas-rangers/post/_/id/4891774/josh-hamilton-lacks-mental-toughness

JJT saw an opportunity to put someone on blast and thus draw more attention to himself with Josh Hamilton exiting the game early. I enjoyed how he compared Hamilton to 4 athletes who play a different sport, 2 of which achieved their cited feat 20 years ago. As for Josh's mental toughness, whatever, I don't really know how bad his headaches were, or whether he had blurred vision. All I know is this:

I bet if Josh Hamilton would've gotten home on time and shoved some pussy in his face JJT wouldve gotten him some wings.

Hey JJT listen great article and everything but I don't think the Dallas masses will understand your baseball point unless you compare him to a Cowboy for a point of reference so......yeah....EMMITT SMITH BULLET FROM 1994 WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

JJT is a doofus.

Hilariously egregious article. JJT strikes me as that one cop who has to fill his quota every month, so he gives some ridiculous "going 39 in a 35" speeding tickets. JJT does it by writing illegitimate Rangers articles when he really has nothing to go on. Just grasping for straws.

Did JJT forget that Hamilton hit a 2 run homer while he had a hernia and could barely walk let alone run? What a fucking joke of an article. Ask Josh to his face you sensationalist hack.

Did JJT use the word poppycock by any chance? He seems to have that word on trademark.

It's hard to blame JJT for his writing methods. He is one among many of local Dallas beatwriters who were able to progress their careers by honing the art of bashing the Dallas Cowboys throughout these past 16-17 years.

Once everybody saw the paychecks that Dale Hansen and Randy Galloway were getting by talking about Jerry Jones non-stop, every journalist followed. Kevin Blackistone, JJT, Tim Cowlinshaw..

You could put your children through college by bashing the Cowboys and Jerry Jones on a weekly basis.

And that would be perfectly fine with me if he wouldve stuck to jerry-bashing instead of pretending to be the least bit interested in baseball and having to force dumb narratives in order to write about it.

It's astounding how many of the "old media" guys have forged careers by writing nothing but unfounded BS with no insights, no reporting, no journalism and zero entertainment value. JJT is the poster-child for the degradation of sports "journalism" in the MSM over last 20 years.

While the guys from 90's and earlier weren't exactly Bill James when it came to their insights, most of their were actual journalists who did real reporting and who wrote quite well. JJT has never, at any point in his career, possessed even average ability at any of the skills necessary to be an effective reporter / journalist / writer / columnist. How this clown continues to have a job is beyond me.

It is pretty absurd that Josh has to leave/ miss games for minor issues. Does he even take care of his body?

Glad you qualified that with the "most." Remember, Skip Bayless was in D/FW during the 90s...
