Ranger Red I wouldn't worry about the tie breaker with the yankees, we won;t be around longer than the wild card play in game. 1 and done. You know if it's the first time something can happen, the Rangers will do it.Remember game 6? bastards

Y2K....I feel your pain but hey tonight sucked but any rational Ranger fan knew coming into this series we likely give up game 1 and will be very competitive in games 2 and 3.

We will win the division, the question is now can we still secure the #1 seed? Probably not...but when the playoffs begin all the records go back to zero and anyone can win it all...remember the Cardinals?

I'm pissed. I'm pissed. I'm PISSED. I'm tired of 'fairytale' teams messing with our turn (St. Louis anyone?). Just win the division, please.

Well, looks the A's are going to catch us unless we have one hek of a comeback tonight....hate to say I saw this coming because of two factors. 1. The A's are young, hungry, and good. 2. Rangers became lethargic about two weeks ago and didn't finish off teams with losing records and it has hurt us BIG time.

Tomorrow is a near replay of Game 7 for us....after we blew Game 6 it was near impossible to get up emotionally for that game. This is feeling the same for me....unfortunately.

Hey RFan....how does that Baseball Prospectus 21% chance the A's win the Division you were spouting off two weeks ago? Sabermetrics, fWar, WAR, BABIP, and all of that other statistical voodoo you and others use to berate those of us who see reality with our own eyes....the "Recency Bias" excuse for how the A's and Rangers have been playing lately sure looks very near sighted now.

21% chance is just that.. 21%. It's not 0. You act like just because BP said they had a 21% chance, they were done for and the Rangers have the division locked down for sure. That just means in every five scenarios, the A's clinched the division once. Unfortunately, we don't have five alternate realities. If the A's win tomorrow, then that just means the one unlucky scenario plays out and the other four don't.

Weatherman says there's a 20% chance of rain. Does that mean it won't rain? Absolutely not. It's like you're yelling at the meteorologist for being wrong because when you stepped outside, it rained.

Well...I guess its official now...they are a Team of Destiny. And hope we don't play them again because their better than us....their pitching is MUCH better than our and that is the difference in baseball, always is.

Sadly, my Sept. 16 prediction posted in this thread panned out. Storm clouds were gathering in mid-Sept and turned into a full fledged supercell, tornadic storm ripping through Arlington (and the Oakland ballpark). Hide the children, save the dogs, its the apocalypse!! :((
