Forum > So glad we didn't get Greinke
Me too. Didn't want him before the deadline, wasn't bothered when he went to the Angels, glad to see he's doing even worse than I would have expected.
Arte Moreno has to be wondering what he's done. Totally all-in on 2012 and he has a .500 team. They look completely lost.

I never bought in when we were trying to get Greinke. He isn't a true "ace" in my opinion even though he has a cy young award already. The angels look bad and he hasn't done much to help them. They are going no where fast, except 3rd place. How embarassing.

Well, in Greinke's defense, he did say a few years ago that he didn't have any desire to play in a big market like LA or NY. Looks like he had good reason to do so. Hopefully Dempster gets on track for us though. Not looking much better at this point.

Considering that he has a social anxiety disorder, he will not conducive to high pressure situations -- like starting a playoff game. We don't need him like we didn't need CJ. Good in the regular season but terrible in the playoffs.

Considering also the prospects the Rangers gave up for Dempster vs. what the Angels gave up for Greinke, I'll take that trade off.

Greinke is a great pitcher no doubt, but he borders that Ace/#2 line constantly and I'm loving me some OLT right now

The Angels are so done. They can't score unless Trout or Pujols go yard and their pitching is atrocious. Greinke has sucked for them and I'm glad we didn't give in and give up any prospects far be it Olt or Perez even for him. It must suck to go all in and not even get in as wildcard lol.
