What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Why the hell are you bringing in ogando with the bases loaded? why are you using mike adams for one out before bringing in a wild neftali feliz who their fucking team had seen several times? What happen to michael gonzalez? It's amazing that no team jd builds will be immune from ron washington's stupidity.
Come on; don't hold back.
Who do you bring in with the bases loaded?
What's the over/under on how many times a team "sees" a closer making a difference?
I do have the same "Where's Gonzo?" question.
So Wash's "stupidity" gets 106 wins to this point; a "smart" manager gets how many? Yeah, Wash was SO stupid for allowing MY to make those two crucial errors (and strike out 1st&3rd no outs.)
I understand the "venting" to a certain degree, but seriously, when those moves work out, as they usually do, everything is peachy. Sort of like only noticing the home plate umpire when he's missing pitches.
If there is a team that turns the page, it's this 2011 Rangers club. Many (many) of their "fans" get stuck on the book jacket.
His fondness for Oliver is bad.
How would I know how many wins he's responsible for? I'd say the talent on the team is more important. At any rate, wasting the best reliever for one out and then putting in a wild pitcher against a familiar team just reinforced my hatred of the closer role.
Another thing: if washington is responsible for feldman's ibb of pujols, he should never be allowed to manage a big league team again.
I'm shocked that those late-game deisions are the ones you're focused on.
By FAR the worst decision of the game by Wash was not pinch-hitting for Colby Lewis in a bases-loaded 2-out situation. Are you friggin kidding me? WIth a 1-run lead he said to himself "Oh well, no need to try to score another run here, if it's going to mean my already-scuffling pitcher who had just wriggled out of a bases-loaded jam caused by 2 walks, one of them on 4-pitches, the inning before will have to come out fo the game 3 outs earlier." ABSURD.
I have no problem with the Ogando decsion. I WOULD have prefered to see Adams pitch the 9th, but it shouldn't have mattered as much as it did. And at this point, most the pitchers have been seen several times, and there is no way of telling how wild he is going to be when you call him up.
And where IS M-Gon?
