What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
I have said it many times, Scooby alluded to it earlier, and then the media points it out. In August and September when I harped on it? I was an idiot by most baseball buffoons on here. Why you do not shake up this line-up? I have no clue. If, as a manager, you cannot look at production to this point? Decision after decision. I try to defend the man. But change this line-up! The pitching has done it's job!
Thanks Ricky!! Exactly what have I been saying all year!
I was an idiot by most people on here.
You still are.
Oh, and the Rangers are in the World Series.
i don't get some of you. its like winning the al pennat is good enough THE WORLD SERIES IS WHAT COUNTS
Not for long with your strategy!
You poked the bear this time.
Keep talking smack, 100. Inuendos and google are about all the insults and baseball knowledge you have, junior.
This lineup (as of the 8th inning tonight) has scored two runs in 17 innings. TWO RUNS.
Shake up the lineup. Do something. Have a closed door meeting. Throw chairs...throw everything around in the clubhouse but this is absurd.
HIT THE DANG BALL and stop watching strikes fly by and stop swinging at crappy pitches.
knee jerk reactions don't win world series
So Wash's is an Idiot for winning tonight?
Baseball playoff series are small sample size toss ups. I would never hold it against any manager for his team not winning one.
Anyhoo, Ron 1, Tony 1. Let's play again Saturday.
That's how baseball go.
Great win! Baseball involves a great deal of failure. Some folks understand that and some folks don't. Great win!
mhilgtx - Wash did not win this game. I will say he may (MAY) have done so in the loss last night, and damn near tonight.
Wash and 25 players and a group of coaches and trainers and a solid front office won this game. They all deserve credit and they all deserve fans that don't shred them in the middle of a great game. Go Rangers.
Despite bad moves.
Ricky, STFU man. If you were the manager, every time the team scored fewer than 5 runs you would juggle the lineup, and after about a month of that, your players would all hate you and would stop playing for you. Why do you have to turd all over the place here? All you are doing is embarrassing yourself. Fans like you don't deserve to have a fine manager like Washington. You are the kind of person who would suck all the life out of a birthday party. We're in the fucking World Series, douche!
I'm curious. Has it been a "bad move" for Wash to instill an agressive base running mentality in his team? Make no mistake; that mentality is installed by our manager. It won the game tonight. Food for thought.
That proves you know NADA. Wash did move Cruz down lower when he was slumping earlier, and he has done what. Let's see, Cruz did what in the ALCS and Michael did what? And they should not be swapped? Elvis in #2? Man, you do not get it. Go wear your 70's Ranger gear and enjoy their success. Wash is a good manager. BUT, if your personal, delicate feelings are hurt by a shake up in the line-up to win the World Series? Then you are not a professional baseball player, nor do you know said game.

Ha. Perfect. Bravo.
100 - Sometimes it is obvious to a dog, yet you can't see it. Keep typing... the more you do? The more you make my point.
My feelings aren't hurt by you, dude. I'm just sick of you saying stupid stuff and spamming up the boards with your idiotic, egotistical drivel. WE GET IT - you think you are SO much smarter than everyone, and that YOU should be the manager of the Rangers. I'm sorry you aren't - it would be a very entertaining 3 months.
The truth about you is that you don't like Ron Washington, and you take it upon yourself to try to ruin the experience for everyone else because you can't stand it that he wins and is getting any praise whatsoever, just like secretly inside you can't stand it that they won tonight, because it takes away from your talking points about how terrible Washington is - that you were so eager to post tomorrow morning.
Like I said, what you are best at is annoying people by talking way too much, and killing everyone's buzz.
Okay, I won't post on here anymore if the consensus is you know more about baseball than me, which I highly doubt.
LOL - that is EXACTLY my point. I said nothing about KNOWING BASEBALL - that's you're big hangup.
I think I have a solution to this problem. Joey needs to create a special area on the website called RICKY FROM FORT WORTH KNOWS A LOT MORE ABOUT BASEBALL THAN YOU, where you could talk to yourself all day long about how much you know about baseball, and how much better the games would go if only you were in charge. You could list all your daily lineups, explain to yourself all the great moves you'd make, and you could even micromanage the bullpen exactly how YOU want to, every game! You could decide that players won't bunt, you can fire personnel, you can dump players who are slumping on waivers or demote them to AAA, whatever the GREAT MIND OF RICKY FROM WORTH WORTH CAN THINK UP, here it can be talked about!
Then the rest of us could go back to talking about other things in a pleasant manner.
You just know valid baseball people agree with me. You should be an A's fan, as yellow and green agree with your personality.
What's a "valid" baseball person? I guess that's someone who wanted to bench Cruz after the first game or two of the playoffs because he wasn't hitting. Or maybe it's someone who wanted to leave Lewis off the post season roster because he was so awful in August and September. Is that a "valid" baseball person? Josh hasn't been hitting - maybe we should play Chavez instead? Beltre looked awful at the plate tonight - how about tomorrow night we bat him in the 8th spot? Is that the thinking of a "valid" baseball person? Feliz went through an awful patch during the season where he blew a handful of saves. Maybe tonight we should have pulled him after he walked the first batter?
I think that if you are talking about baseball lifers, people who played the game or coached the game, they are unanimous in saying that Washington is a human being who makes mistakes, but there is always a rationale behind his decisions, and that rationale is always justifiable and reasonable. He is a smart man, and a baseball lifer through-and-through. He knows how to win, and has built a long career on playing good, exciting baseball. Every single move may not always work out in his favor, but in case you haven't been paying attention, it more often than not does.
But oh, I forgot. You are one of those guys who is quick to defame him when one of his decisions backfires, but then when things do go right, it's because of other factors, like team talent, or mistakes on the part of the other team, right? In other words, you are an ungrateful, small-minded, petty sophist.
Yup, that's you.
Apparently you can write, but cannot read... at least not on this web-site.
Sounds like Ricky in Ft Worth knows more about baseball than Connie Mack, but he can't keep his hood off long enough to admire the Rangers.
